$200 for a dry nitrous kit is just a damn good deal lol.

I talked to a guy at Holley (NOS) and he has a 240. He ran a 25 shot which amounted to a 50 HP gain because the car was turbo charged (cant recall how he said that worked but still, he works tech for NOS i figure he knows what hes talking about)

What nitrous does is baically super cool the intake charge to allow more oxygen into the combustion chamber and nitrous also has a higher oxygen content that the atmosphere , that plus more fuel you get more power, obvously you have to have the formula right though.
hmm, I can kinda see how when a turbo is packing air (aka boost pressure) into the combustion chamber it is able to pack more in as it is even cooler, if thats make the Nitrous have double the effect but I dont know. the only logical thing I could think of is that
So basically it has something to do with the Nitrous cooling the whole system making it more efficent thus seeing a larger than normal power gain on such a small shot.
Nitrous is a very good tool, I have used in on a few cars, but it is finicky and some times a big pain in the ass.
I dont think though it would be the same for all nitrous shots though, cause as got boost said it would then not make much sense
With more O2 your computer will put in more fuel? I guess if your are running a SAFC or some type of fuel managment you can just dump more in when you hit the nos? Any one konw more about this its intresting. I also saw on dream car gradge or sompthing that a wet system is alot better then a dry. but is more complex to install.
A wet system you add a certain amount of fuel via extra jets, the fuel gets mixed with the Nitrous when it is injected to better mix the fuel with the incoming Oxygen which allows it to burn better. Bad thing is if the fuel ends up puddeling in the intake tract you will get a back fire, which can be very bad. blown up intakes, somtimes even intake manifolds (usually the plastic ones like on Neons and Jettas for example–two cars I have seen the backfires first hand)–but not usually the welds–lol and of course you passenger side floor will never fall out due to Nitrous use lol
the dry system your cars computer does infact sense the extra o2 being added and compensates for it by uping the injector duty cycle. the dry system is limited by your cars stock engine management system and stock injectors-so too much nitrous you wont really know it until its too late-well thats if your unlucky-. The AFC from what I know does no such thing-it is your stock ECU that does all the adjusting.
Also please its nitrous not NOS. NOS is a brand Nitrous Oxide Systems. Nitrous kits are made by many companies Holley/N.O.S, Zex, Nitrous Express, and many others.
BTW Nitrous is not magic its basic Chemistry

me for cheap.

yeah the only thing I see wrong with an intercooler sprayer is that Nitrous is not cheap, here it is about 40 dollars to fill a 10 pound bottle.
You would go through it really fast. For an intercooler sprayer I would just rig up the windsheild washer fluid bottle and a few garden sprayers–kinda like what SCC did.
also if the kit was cheap I would be sure everything is in working order, fittings, lines not clogged, solenoids working properly, etc etc. A
Buying off one of my best friends in halifax, he bought it off a guy who was desperate for gas and insurance money, and it’s empty, the guy took my buddy for a rip and they emptied it lol, so everything works i assume.
it’s probably much like a turbo itself, in that its performance enchaning properties are nonlinear. ie. for the first little while (like the first 25hp) you get a 2x gain because of the turbo, but as the spray increases the efficiency decreases and your start getting a 1:1 gain.
I would think the amount of boost you’re running would matter as well. and and your elevation and all that jazz.
nitrous isnt for amatures, ive seen how u drive , youve got a heavy foot

see nitrous has many advantages, not only will u make everything around you a blur when u hit the button, itll make you cool and everyone will love u for being so fast and furious :lol:
