SR20 into S10.

this swap is so strange

I hope you finish it

Why are the S10 guys freaking out so bad?

I had thoughts about scrapping it all like an hour before I got it to run

The pieced together firewall, my ‘shitty’ welds, the tranny mount, my attempt at a drive shaft.

the hype has died down on s10forums. I only say something when someone bumps the thread. everyone says its hacked and they wouldnt want to drive behind me on the road etc etc. gay. basically they are ragging on me because I didnt do it like you did, newman.

I did not post that vid there

That should be pretty cool. Can make some decent power with not a lot of weight.

sr20s are pretty stout bottom end; a “nissan 4g63” if you will, arent they?

we still have yet to find out exactly how big the turbo is!

memorial day weekend the harness will significantly improved, so hopefully we’ll get some good pics and such.

I have no idea what you mean by that. That would be a question I would direct towards you. lol

its directed to anyone who knows about sr20s. i remember reading about stock blocks being good for a good bit of power, and hoping others can confirm this.

Yeah, they aren’t bad. Seemed like 400-450whp is pushing the limits of the bottom end.

The valvetrain needs to be addressed to run in the upper RPM range reliably though. Rocker arm stoppers were/are popular. I assume the best bet is to just upgrade all the components though.

thanks for the info.

Good jesus no, why would you compare something reliable to junk?

But i am down with this build. At Oswego right coast imports last year there was an rb20 s10 with a colorado front end. confusing but ok in my book. Keep going I would like to see the end product. Possibly next year think about putting IRS rear end in it?

Shut up, retard. Keep that shit in the other thread that you’ve ruined.

my opinion so you can eat it. BACK ON TOPIC.

I LIKE THE BUILD

brent obviously knew exactly what i was talking about with my “comparison”. so its all good.

travis grab some 750cc injectors

750’s + ems it is. please mr government give me a good tax return this year.

you can run more like 500 on a stock bottom end, there are a couple of guys who dd thier cars with that much power on a stock bottom end. you should be able to run 450 no problem, as long as nothing is already seriosuly damaged. but cool build i cant wait to see it. good luck

can I still have nice idle with 750’s?

youll be fine. my neon is good with 750s at ~60psi.

Brandon and I thinned out the harness some more today. I also took the air bag out to put the sr20 ecu in its place. I threw the fenders and bed on with about half of the required bolts. lol. Based on the rough fitting of basically everything (as they were on the 240, nothing has been modified yet) there shouldn’t be any major clearance issues.

thats gonna be sick haha

just to supplement travis’ pics here are the ones i took:

additional shit pulled from the sr20 engine harness:

per these instructions:

and we started a few new projects on the whole deal.

here is the sr20 ecu’s approximate new home:

engine harness routing. just gotta loom it up, it about as slim as its gunna get:

battery kinda relocated:

that intercooler fits almost perfect!

i got bored on the freakin 3 hr drive there so i stopped to snap this pic, ha.
