SR20DET Logging *data*

So I took the car for a spin (30-40min) drive and began logging some
numbers from start up to shut down.

I’m still reading up on what optimal/good values are but if anyone’s
curious, here’s some min/max data values.

5775 = Max RPM ??

Yo G, no point logging if your not even going to test the car? You have no idea what it does about 6 grand and that’s generally when all goes to shi!t.

No get back out there and pound the crap out of it!

CONSULT port and a cable I got from www.plmsdevelopments.com

I’m actually writing my own software to interface with CONSULT because
the one I’m using is weird sometimes and because I’m a nerd. :o

As for RPM, well I went to pick up my sister so I wasn’t out on some
togue runs or anything. And as I left my house I happened to drive by
two unmarked police cars. :noes: And there was traffic.

I’ll bring this to the drag meet if anyone wants to try it out (hopefully if I
show up). Or you can come by and try it on a weekend or something.

Hey Gonad,

If you are bored at work why don’t you take that log and graph some of those numbers so that we can see relationships.

For example:

  • Graph Duty Cycle and RPM… and look for changes in LOAD
  • Graph Water Temp and Injector Duty at a set RPM and see what the ECU is doing to compensate for hot or cold water.
  • At 100% TPS, Graph RPM and Timing for the entire band and watch as the ECU takes out timing.

Just come examples off the top of my head… but seeing the graphs could spark some good chatter about factory tuned ECU’s and the relationships between different sensors and environments

Excel was blowing up my computer (40,000 rows) and it took me like
10min to dump it all in a SQL database.

I’ll work on graphs shortly using this data (or make another run with
some high RPM/speeds). I don’t have the data on work computer.

I just wasnt sure how I wanted to graph X/Y coordinates.
