sr20det spitting oil everywhere

i got an sr20det swapped into a 93 fastback…it ran okay, but i needed a new fuel pump…when i went to drive the car it seemed like there weas loss of power, and when i popped the hood back pressure shot the dipstick up and there was oil sprayed everywhere by the turbo…anyone know what could have gone wrong?

blowby? broken pcv?

make sure your pcv valve is working as it should…its located at the back right corner of the valve cover you’ll see a rubber hose connected to it. If thats fine then in most cases its caused by excessive blow by. Do a compression test on the motor and post up your results.

I put a tad too much oil and had the same issue. From what i was told the excess amount of oil spashing around and less air caused too much pressure therefor blowing the dipstick off enought that oil can squirt out.

A companys makes an aftermarket dipstick for this problem Varun was telling me. I dont see it being a major issue.

why would there be such a loss of power though…if it were the pcv lines…would that cause power loss??? and would it cause back pressure?

if there is no compression in the second cylinder…what can i do to fix this!!! … other than scrapping the motor, can i fix this problem??? please help me out!!!

you blew the motor

pat yourself on hte back for getting on it without a walbro and blowing a ringland.

this is a perfect example of why you never ever ever do an sr20 swap without a good fuel pump.

part out this motor, buy a new one and try to break even.

you can sell injectors, turbo, sensors, coilpacks etc.
