I was just wondering how the stock ECU reacts when switching to an atmospheric BOV setup? I have heard very mixed opinions on this and I was hoping some people with first hand experience could help me out.
Thanks for any info

Just runs rich for that split second u let off the gas and it releases the air. I’ve never once had an issue.
this^^ mine does the same, it even throws a flame every now and then but my SR runs fine, I heard people saying that the engine will stall but like i said i never had that problem.
Thanks guys. I know someone running an atmospheric setup on an Rb20 and it will backfire sometimes I was just unsure of the Sr20. I believe if the car stalls on you after letting off you could adjust your IACV screw to bump your idle up slightly?
when i first got my 180, it had an atmospheric bov. it ran fine, no stalling whatsoever. but then i fixed some boost leaks, changed it to recirc for my e-test and once i changed it back to atmospheric it would not idle properly. pouring black smoke out the tail pipe with looping idle. switched back to recirc and it has ran perfectly ever since. besides, i think i got tired of bov noise.
You could adjust it. Or get a piggy back and adjust the settings of the throttle position. But that annoying and not safe. They suck.
When mine would come close to stalling. Just every time it blows off and you coming to a stop, smack the throttle once and it closes te bov right away. All I do. Never has stall once. And yes. It throws flames. Sometimes dirty ass gun shots to.
shouldnt it also help response times if u recirculate? im trying to recirculate mine.
Shouldn’t no. It’s such a fast release it can’t be felt.
helps with fuel eco, but yea very little with response
