So i happened to be cruising around on my bike on this wonderful evening and witnessed a … wait a second… replace that w/ several … races b/w a M3 and a dodge neon. i was enjoying the show, even as the M3 tried to move into my lane and leave me as a piece of road-kill. But i must say, as hard as the M3 tried… he just couldn’t make the cut… the neon ‘done him good.’
I like the color… it was like a turqouise type paint… pretty cute…
dunno if i like the car altogether tho… i most definitely respect its ability… but, i just don’t like BMW’s styling
he really did come really close to me tho… like… i was too surprised to be scared or worried… i never expected it… … then when we stopped he’s like “i didn’t even come close to him”… “but man, that thing’s fast!”
i’ll take my Ariel Atom up against him… see who handles better hehe
I agree that I need to drive one! I did have a fun night, but accomplished none of the work that I wanted to…oh well.
The SMG transmission still sucks ass IMHO. I shift faster than the SMG does, even though it supposedly does it in a few tenths of a second. The M3 feels faster than my car…but wasn’t.
I think the smg has a few modes that you can have it set in to shift how you want it to…i hear that when its in the hardest mode that it snaps your head back
He put it in the hardest mode, and yes it does that…after a delay.
It’s like full power <cut out> full power. It feels like when I WOT shift my car, just slower. I’ve driven an SMG 3-series in Germany, and I hated it. I guess it’s better than an “auto-stick” though.
