Steering column removal- Jeep Wrangler

I need to pull the tilt column from a late 80’s Wrangler. I’ve dropped columns down, but never removed one. I figure it’s time I learned. I’m guessing theres the bolts under the dash, and the bolts where it goes through the firewall, and then what? It’s a junkyard Jeep, so I’ll need to know what, if any specialty tools I’ll need to bring. I’m probably going at 9 am tomorrow, so if anyone has tips, let me know. Thanks!

I dropped the column on my Camaro a bunch of times. Just unplug all the wiring harnesses, unbolt it from the firewall and dash and there should be one larger bolt/nut holding it to the steering box input shaft. Just take a good set of sockets and some open ended wrenches with you.

Nice:tup::tup: Anyone by chance know the size of that nut? I probably have the wrench and socket in my tool box, but I want to make sure.

Piece of cake!
