STi shite fuel gauge or someone syphoning?

What the eff… this is like the 3rd or 4th time I have parked my car in my garage, with approx 1/4 tank. Come out in the morning to goto work, the needle is tipped on E.

Anyone elses STi gas gauge suck balls or is someone stealing my gas?

Mine sometimes reads like 1/8 below full after filling. I woulden’t worry its probably the gauge.

mine does the same thing, i was actually wondering if someone was jacking me at night also haha

the gas gauge just sucks, that is all

i wish it WAS someone stealing my gas… it is so fucking annoying not knowing how much gas you have.

I hate having to stop for gas on the way to work in the morning

I do, why?

yea i do also sometimes why you say mobil?

Hmmmm, be wary. My gauge is messed up but I also caught someone siphoning from me so I’d check it

i get gas at mobil everytime i fill up. wtf?

My car does this sometimes as well.

P.S. I don’t buy Mobil ever. I almost always opt for Sunoco.

:word: i heard STis dont like mobil. after a fill up my tank usually reads alittle below full too. i never have problems at the end of a tank tho

count your miles and know when to fill up :gotme:

Same here, always sunoco…

Also as what most others have said my gauge never goes to full, usually only about 3/4. POS subaru, this is so far my only real complaint other than my botched 30K maintenance that f’d my rear diff, but that was not manufacturer.

Can you buy a new floater (if thats what they use anymore)??

Mobil gas has high sulfur content and it screws with the fuel level sensors in most cars. It’s not a Subaru specific issue.

Winter gas in general can make your fuel level sensor read funny. My wife’s Honda and my old Legacy are both doing it a bit. Chances are these issues will disappear soon.

Trip odometer… use it, love it.
