personally i liked the looks of the EVO better before i got the sti, BUT, now i like my sti a lot better than the looks of the evo
but yea two diff cars as far as handling and such

Both cars are so damn close in so many aspects that it really comes down to personal preference. Since I can predict what the next 20 posts are going to say, I’ll offer something different.
Do you want to learn how to really drive? The reason a lot of people say the EVO is sharper is because it’s easier to drive. Both cars do a lot of the driving for you, but an sti is going to require you to take things like understeer/oversteer into consideration more than an evo will. A novice driver is going to put an EVO around a track a little faster than an sti, but as many test drivers and roadcoursers have discovered, once you figure the sti out the rewards are just as great.

Without having driven or rode in either, here’s my totally worthless opinion: STI for the fun of shifting 6 gears and the sound of a boxer instead of the fart of an I4. I just don’t like the sound of 4 cylinders, but the Subaru flat 4 isn’t too bad.

if that matters to you more than wide seats and cruise…buy an EVO
If it doesn’t and you want to be a mad leet drifter and rail curbs every now and then, buy an STi.
DD=STI. Track/Mod=Evo.
After driving both and modding the Evolution, I think there is no comparison.

evo def seems like more of a street racer type
sti’s are def cool and fast too, but they were built with a rally intent and, to me, it shows
i would prolly go with evo, thats my vote
I know looks are opinion but lets be honest the STI is FUGLY.
It screams - Boy racer.
The Evolution is not too bad looking and without the wing it looks pretty conservative.
Drive an Evo and a STI and you will want the Evo.
