storing on blocks

Hey guys, I am storing the beast for the winter and do not want to warp my new rubber. Is there any damage that can be caused by sitting it on blocks? Hit me back. Thanks
Craig

Why not just use axle stands? or something designed for the purpose. There probably isnt a big issue with storing it on blocks but i mean the proper things are out there.

Just store it on the tires…you won’t have any issues with flat spots. We’re not in the 60’s anymore.

–bought a coupe out of k/w last year - almost new winter tires -sat for a couple of months -flat spots --all four --went to have them balanced and the guy showed me -could because winters are softer or could be due to being in k/w LOL

-my suggestion block up or use garbage tires during storage

I just had my car sitting on only the rear tires for about 6 months…they are 245/40/17 and not a single issue…

Maybe it’s because the car was in Waterdown and not K-W…(John) haha

If you are at all worried then just use some high density insulation foam from Home Depot.

Using this “foam” will eliminate the flat spots. (Guys that store their Duesenberg’s use this method so it will be fine for a 240)

Good idea using the foam -that would distribute the weight over a larger area as the foam is compressed. We have also stored a Fairlady using 4 car wheel dollies for mobility - these are cupped to follow the tire contour - similar principal.

your best bet id say is grab a set of steelies someone is selling on here with spent rubber, or tear drops or really anything in your bolt pattern thats dirty cheap with shit rubber, you dont have to worrie about your frame bending or chassis twisting and flat spotting your rubber. If you care enough for good tires im sure you can afford to drop 50-70dollars or so on some shit rims.

Hope that helps.
