so yesterday i got accepted to law school but i still don’t have a job so i figured i would see if anyone on this lovely forum knows of a place where i can start working like tomorrow and quit in mid august. i want something full time with decent/good pay. i do have a bachelors degree (required to go to law school) and i’ll fake that its going to be my career if it gets me a job but thats not the case really. ideally if i could go down to part time (20hr/week max) come mid august that would be dope.
i’m really awful at getting a job and haven’t been able to get past getting interviewed and really don’t want to go to law school with only a couple hundred in the bank and have to live off of student loans (my mom really can’t afford me living off her for 3 more years) and i don’t want to sell the rx7 either (might happen anyways so if anyone wants a complete rx7 that needs to be put back together and drivetrain rebuilt shoot me an offer)
i’m not really expecting this to go anywhere but figureed it might help and well it’s half to let you guys know that i’m actually doing something with my life.
honestly, i never even thought of that but thats a good idea esp when i am in school, tip based jobs for a couple nights a week would be good, if i had a larger car i’d try to deliver pizza but i can’t fit most large pizza boxes in a miata lol
You can be a pretty good outgoing person to new people elliot. Waitor would be a good gig, if you have the personality for it theres lots of money to be made on a good night.
Ive known some waitresses that clear over 800+ a week just in tips… granted there might be weeks where you make a quarter of that… but serious bank to be made if your good at it.
Check out carabbas mac gril etc, shit on that level. Make sure they sell booze. Only go in between 2 and 4 and just ask for a manager then ask for an app. Worked for me
valet parking. i used to do valet parking around albany when i was home from college (did it in buffalo as well), make an easy 150-200 a night in tips and drive sweet cars. Usually only have to work 5-1030. You have to be clean cut, and have a perfect driving record. it’s easy work and quick money. Actually I’ve been thinking about doing it again since my wife is in college for some extra cash
landscaping = easiest to get/most pay potential ratio… You can go to an interview in mudded up overalls and get a job that pays $25+ an hour no problem. Plus alot of companies dont expect you to stay on the job a long time anyway so you quit when you wanna…
My first job at 14 years old was working for a landscaping company that paid $27 an hour, was ballin compared to all my friends that would think a $20 in there pocket was alot of money lol.
keep looking, put down on app that your used to getting that pay and they will pay you that pay, if you put previous pay was $15 an hour, they will pay you close to that.
i havent been looking at them recently, before yesterday I was looking for somewhere that I could make a career as I wasn’t accepted at law school yet, now I don’t really care as much because I’ll be leaving in august anyways. as long as the pay is good i really don’t care what it is, except lawn care companies that like to get you to apply chemicals without proper protection cause it doesn’t look professional, fuck that noise.
