Surprised nobody posted this: RIP 3 motorcyclists crash on Upper Mountain Road

Even if they were doing something they shouldn’t have been, if people on here knew them personally we should probably hold off on that stuff for awhile. Don’t ya think?

RIP

Sad to hear about more riders passing.
RIP Jeremy

RIP. Stupid choices that people make and regret if given the chance. Unfortunately they were not able to regret it and paid the price.

Hold the hate comments on these guys. I didnt know them but again, show some class and respect to others that did.

Awful, RIP.

MotoX, what happened? SV toast? DEETS!

Chris and a friend went down in Colden the other night, due to gravel/debris on the road, fairly minor injuries THANKFULLY

yes, and they are persuing a claim with colden’s highway department because they failed to place the required signage 100ft prior to the roadwork that was underway “road work ahead”. I beleive some bruises and chris broke a finger

nope not on this forum, people are only selectively caring, just another two guys i dont have sympathy for, but for the families yes, now i just sit back and wait for an infraction

I like chris, but this seems kinda stupid… signage or not you need to be prepared for the road and any conditions it may have…

Jermey was arrested for assualt not to long ago. (Such a great guy) .He also reended one of my good buddes whill driving his car like a dumb ass. I know his sister and feel bad for the family, But not for these idiots.

ugh, shitty.

I was prepared for road work, back 1/2 mile when I saw the sign. I did not expect the gravel to be all over the road when we entered a blind corner. I have video and photos to prove it. By law it should have been maintained or else marked as a hazard. We weren’t speeding, messing around or anything…this was caused purely in part of negligence on NYS DOT’s part.

240 is a state road, so Colden is off the hook. The highway superintendent is acting as a liason for me in contacting the proper people.

Been around the block enough to know how to read roads, I’m not saying I’m perfect but it’s hard to argue I was at fault when there is so much shit on the road you can run and slide from lane to lane with shoes on.

Is it any coincidence that 97.9% of accidents that involve motorcycles are a direct result of said motorcyclist doing something stupid and/or wreckless? I don’t understand why a grown man with probably nothing to hide would run from the cops. I guess this is just nature’s way.

With that said, condolences to the family.

Motocrossx23, Good thing your ok. It cuase alot of damage to your bike.

Yeah, my bikes totalled. Guard rails arent too forgiving. But proper riding gear and quick thinking are huge.

This could have been a lot worse if people with less experience were involved.

Considering that corner is strewn with motorcycle parts and flowers of riders that died, yes. I think Kris and I did a pretty damn good job not dying. That’s not something you learn in a class.

Sorry to hear motox, hopefully it works in your favor.

after hearing about you going down it made me think back when I was blasting 240 on my '75 honda pretty hard back in july when my buddy was up here from ohio…I’m lucky the road was nice or I might not be here. Wake-up call heard loud and clear here.

Which turn? Is this the one that’s a decreasing radius (if heading south) about 1.5 miles south of Colden center?

Maybe the reason why no one posted this was because it always turns into:

Sympathy/respect for the riders

vs.

They deserved it for behaving the way they did.

It’s getting old. I don’t even know why I opened this thread.
