I went this weakend down south to pick up my Fathers new toy.94 Thunderbird with a PI motor,30 lbs injectors,80mm MAF,Exhaust,Blah blah ,SVO supercharger,blah blah ect ect…The boost gauge in the car is at 6psi with a safe tune and makes over 300rwhp from what I was told.
This car took no prisoners on the way home.I lined up with a few cars on zee highway.Started small.A Celica GTS was the first.I was just cruising along around 55 or so when I see this douchebag in his Celica weaving around traffic.I see him coming up on my tail and as soon as he gets ready to pull a pass on me I lightly gas it so he can hear some of the exhaust.He then sits behind me for a second or two and I see him drop it and fly over to the side of me.I let him pass me and I drop the hammer on him.Instantly reeling him in and pulling a couple buses on him.I got out of the throttle about 95 mph and he pulled a ricer flyby on me.I figured."Hey not bad for the first run.
Next run was a run in with a new,maybe 06 GTI 2.0T.He was paceing me at around 65 mph.So again I give him alittle gas just so he can hear the car alittle.This guy looks over at me and drops a gear and falls back about a half car length.He then starts building boost and he hammers it.So I let him get to my front bumper before I let him know he was not the only one makeing boost.I instantly matched his speed and started to pull Quite a few cars on him until I noticed a truck infront of me which resulted in me shuting down.I ran him from 65 to 90 or so and it was pretty one sided.I was not very impressed with the VW at all.I figured they would be much faster than that.
Last race for me for the night was a 99ish Cobra.4.6L N/A but still had a supposed 300 hp.The Cobra maybe had exhaust.How was I not suppose to harrass this guy.I was cruising behind a truck which was driving slow as hell in the fast lane.I see the Cobra behind me kinda tailgating alittle.So I look for an opening in the lane next to me and I make the pass around the truck.I get to 70mph on moderate throttle and pass the truck.Next thing I know I see the Cobra’s front end raise up and I can see that he is in the throttle.So as he is coming up I figure no chance’s with this one.I drop the gas and as I shifted into passing gear he passes me.But the mighty blower whine was too much for him and I start pulling him back in around 90mph and passing him at 105mph.The guy was real good about it.He looked over at us and gave us the nod as if he was saying that he was impressed that a 94 Tbird just pulled him.This was one I didn’t think I was going to beat but when I didn’t hear a blower coming from the Cobra I figured it would be a closer run.
All runs where made with a T45 Transmission in the back and about 100 more pounds of parts in the trunk.
This is my first ever kill story so please go easy on me.Just thought I’d share some fun times from my little trip.
And remember if you see a Black Tbird on the road that looks stock and all you can see or hear is exhaust think twice.This might be the one with alittle whine under the hood.
I am not sure if we are going to do the T45 swap in it yet.It has SC shafts built by raxle’s so I am sure the Half shafts can take it.But it has an 01 GT tranny in it now with the shift pressure adjusted so it shifts really fast and hard.
No Justins Bird was a Vortech bird.This one has an SVO supercharger from FRPP.I think this bird would run nicely with Justin’s bird.Hard to say which one is faster really.
Technically that car was the first car on the site to have an explorer motor in it… A bit of history…

What’s up Justin,You gotta stop by and see the Bird soon.It hooks up real good compared to yours.But it only has a 3.27 TL and a Mustang stall.It does lose some traction in first from a roll.

Slowrock.I will race you in my N/A bird.You might and probley will beat that.I would have a better chance from a roll.As far as you racing the SVO bird,I don’t think it would be in your favor.This is at least a low 13 car on a bad day.And you would also have to catch it on the street.
