i’ve had the same pair for almost two years, in two different cars. I sold the first car, took the bulbs out and used it on my second one. no problems so far. as long as you don’t touch the bulbs, they’ll be fine. the oils on your hands burn the bulbs.

Duh. you are sweet if you have hids so it is deff worth the money even though they blind people half the time.

on topic never had a problem with my silverstars and had em 2 years.

edit- pep boys has a $10 rebate on silverstars right now as well.

u can find HID for half that and they are good ones i know w few people that have them

i think the problem is only with certain bulb types, they have even admitted it to some of the people that have emailed them, i remember reading a lenghty thread about it on another forum IIRC, the H series bulbs arent as of high a quality as their 9000 series bulbs, stuff like that, they have been trying to address the issues. also be careful not to touch them when putting them in, i wear gloves for mine.

i have silverstars in my van right now and havnt had a problem yet, but they have only been in there for a few months. i have used nothing but PIAA in all my other vehicles and never had a problem with their bulbs. but they are also almost 3 times the price of the silverstars.

i’ve had them in the malibu since 2001… i’ve been through about 4 sets though…

per what some others are saying, that sounds about right. like how the Russian’s bulbs last a long time - some people seem to get by with them, but when i was using the 9004s on my tempo… it ate two sets in like 20K, so i was like fuck this

first set lasted me four months on my craptastic focus. I was extra careful not to touch the bulbs at all. Stupid things, i think i actually might save up for HID’s. let me know how that customer service thing works out, just in case these blow in a short period of time. The driver side bulb is getting dim again.

Well I called where I purchased the headlights and they will do a “one time exchange”… I didnt really wanna wait around to hear from Sylvania
