test fitted my new rims on the front, damn close but they clear. 17x9 +30. flush as hell though !!
car has been parked all winter so brakes are rusty and my wheels are turned in a bit in this pic.
those arent gonna sit flush…
why?
When the car is on the ground the rim will have more of a negative camber pushing the top half in. If it’s not exactly flush now, with the car off the ground, it’ll be less-flush once it’s on the ground and the cars weight is distributed.
hope it doesnt sink in to much
See how it looks once the tire’s on the rim and the car’s on the ground. At that point decide what mm spacer is needed for ULTIMATE FLUSHNESSSS.
EDIT: Noticed you also don’t have any sort of adjustable suspension, so that will also effect the overall look with the rims. Although they are nice you’ll notice your ride height with those rims will suck.
lol was just worried about them clearing and i guess i cant go wider than 225 in the front aswell
saved me some typing… thanks
its all making sense now lol!!
what size tires are you gonna run? cause thats what is going to make or break this setup.
225 45 front 245 45 rear i think, any suggestions?
225/45 is good for front but go with 245/40 for the rear. 245/45 is a higher tire and your rear end will be jacked up, unless thats the look you want.
why whould that make the rear looked jacked up? it wouldnt be the same ride hight all the way round?
o wait 45 % of 245 compared to 45 % of 225?
go with 45’s all around. your not low really so the bigger side walls will make you look lower from the side.
your going to need spacers if you put different suspension on it
just got tein lowering springs on now
After you actually mount tires and put on your rims, will these clear your suspension?
ya they should im going 225 in the front
its not really the tires i’m worried about. After you mount them will they clear? And if they do i’m pretty sure they’ll rub when your front end compresses when you go over bumps.
