the Actual Work-Out thread

I eat one fruit a day, it’s not like i sit around and do nothing all day

edit: actually i lied, i have 2 fruits on tuesdays and thursdays. :ohnoes:
and none on saturday or sunday

So much for the Actual workout thread being about actually working out…

DEADLIFT EHHH

It’s not just the sugar in the fruit that it bad. Fruit is full of empty calories. It’s basically filler food that suppresses your appetite and offers nothing that MUSCLES need to grow. If you want to drop a lot of weight then incorporate fruit into your diet. If you want to grow and put on muscle, leave it for the fatties.

:tif: im always happy to see more guys interested in working out and lifting shit, but yea we need to get this thread back on track

SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME NEW CORE EXERCISES TO DO!!

Anyone got any good circuits?

Stomach vacuum

What were you saying about deadlifting barefoot Saturday night? I might remember now that I’m sober…

if you are wearing running shoes or something along the lines of running shoes, they typically make you lean forward a bit. when doing heavy lifts (deadlifts) you want to lift with your heels, not your toes. taking your shoes off will give you flat(er) feet and help with pushing from your heels.

And what will pushing from my heels do for me?

HHHAARRRR… hmmm, i deffinitely see how flatter shoes would be better, same goes for squats.

less chance of ruinning form?

better form, less chance of hurting your back, MOAR POWAHHH!!!

Might not be a bad idea. I felt something go twang in my lower back on the first set last time. Now the other side of my back hurts. Weird. Time to start paying more attention to form.

ugh bro, form is SUPER important on deadlifts.

I usually warm up with :naab: sets before i go heavy, i do alot of warming up because its too easy to hurt your back.

im cut

I usually do 1 set of every excercise that im doing for the day @ half weight
and then start my regular workout

I usually do 2-3 quick warm up sets, then 4 “working” sets, but once that muscle group is warm my next exerise’s I do like one warm up/ feeler set. Progressive overload>*

Everytime i curl my left wrist feels like it’s going to snap in half :frowning:
i was talking to someone today about snowboarding back around christmas time, and i remember falling on my wrist on ice and i basically couldnt move my wrist the rest of the day

i never actually put 2 and 2 together but i started working out about 2 weeks after this happened and it hurts every time i curl, whether it be 25lbs or 125lbs it feels like it’s going to break. it only hurts during the curling motion of my bicep exercises, not my triceps

Does it hurt near your hand or higher up on your forearm?
