agreed , when i saw the rims they did infact seem like they have been spraypainted without any prep work.
They have more orange peel than an Orange Peel and a no touch carwash would completely clean the paint off those…
As you can see the TC Rod bracket on the Driver side is rusted badly and the part of the rad support facing the rear of the car has a hole rusted in it.
your rad support isnt even that bad … u said ur motor was rebuilt but the engine is covered in oil … dam this makes me happy that no ones ever complained about my work on 240’s and are shop doesnt specialize in sr’s or nissans but ive done plenty sr’s swaps with no complainents …thats why i dont understand shops that say they specialize in sr swaps … there so dam easy 6 hours in and out clean harness to easy
maybe you should have powder coated your rims instead of using shitty spray paint.
you only took pics of the rad support in the front? what about behind there where the nuts sit? i know alot of cars with rad supports looking good, but where the rad covers it, its rotten to shit.
imho, if your brake lines are rusted to shit, and are very brittle then why are you driving that dangerous piece of machinery on the road? why are you complaining that parts werent installed when you werent charged for it?
200 bucks for installing front Q45’s, rear brakes, front ss lines, LCA, and on top of that the steering rack bushings? thats a GREAT DEAL man, you have no idea how much of a bitch and how long it takes to do all that shit by yourself.

I am not being hostile towards anyone, please stop being hostile towards me. I bought the rims already painted gunmetal, I didn’t paint them myself. I washed my car and used a brush to clean the rims, the paint didn’t come off. There was orange peel on the paint, but I’m wondering how it only came off once 240coupe worked on the car, and never else. I’ve had these since summer…and wash my car frequently.
Thank you 240coupe for installing the parts that you did, I made that clear. You gave me a good price, and were very pleasant to deal with, initially. I said I’m willing to let everything go, just get my 10,000km warranty from Anthony and my car running again.
btw, yes that’s the old engine in that old pic, it was leaking a lot of oil. One of the reasons I did the rebuild. It was the only picture I had of the rad support. There is more rust on top of the rad support as 240coupe said. The rest of the car is solid.
It sucks balls to have something like that happen. And believe me, I understand what it means to get fucked over, some members might remember what happened with me.
But yea, I hope you learned something from this situation. Always be cautious when it comes to letting others touch your car. (weither it be friends, co-workers, contractors, etc…) Anything can go wrong. Always try to have something more then a verbal agreement. And if verbal is the only thing availabe, get it recorded or something in case shit goes wrong.
As for the current situation. There is nothing much that I can say, other then, find that builder and straighten shit out.
As for 240coupe, you should help aswell. Im not saying that you should call the national guard, and go on a 2000km radius search for the guy, but if you have any respect for your customers, their valuables, and the effort they put into making that honest buck (which is now in your pocket), then I highly suggest that you help out, any way that you can. Maybe even help to atleast get the car running properly. Also, believe it or not, word of mouth does go around. And you’d be suprised with how hard karma can fuck your day over.
Thank you very much Stephen, you have been the most influential person in the time I’ve owned a 240, and you did a good job saving my car. You gave me a lot of advice, and set out a plan for me. I got a deal from discostu77 (i think that’s his name) on a basic small T3 kit. After searching for hours and hours on KA-T.org I determined it was unnecessary to have forged internals for a 220ish whp KA-T, which is pretty much what this basic kit was good for.
This is the main reason I went with a stock rebuild. Otherwise I was in the final stages of going with the forged piston build you proposed. Remember when I came to your house with Junior and we were on the driveway making jokes and all?

Let’s try to be progressive now. Ok, I opened the oil cap to see under the valve cover, and it looks pretty dry in there. After a rebuild is it likely to have the oil pump fail? Or is it more likely that my bearing clearances are too large and that no oil pressure is being produced.
I am at a loss of what caused this overnight, my engine was running when 240coupe drove the car to my house. It was running a little weak, but it was fine! If the bearing clearances were really that bad, the engine would have had no oil pressure to begin with.
240coupe, did you find any more information on this Anthony guy yet? We need to find this fucker! Seriously man, he has to have a shop or something if he builds engines, like draggone said earlier. Well I just hope you learnt from your mistake… it was quite and expensive mistake but it will help you out later in life when you think about doing cash deals.
I havent read ALL of thease post, but any body who knows me, knows I know how to fix pos car and make them mint… The problem is when you put it all on paper, over the months, it adds up to alot more.
My advice is save up for a MINT car.
