Heard nothing but terrible things about Joker 2, but I heard the new Penguin series is good.
Really enjoyed Deadpool/Wolverine. Solid 8/10.
The Killers Game: Some Dave Bautista contract killer thing. I knew it would be bad, was just looking for something to watch one night while the wife and kid had other plans I didn’t feel like moving from my recliner. Think John Wick 2 if you bought off brand John Wick 2 from Temu. 2/10.
Inside Out 2: Holy shit, Disney/Pixar actually can still make a good family movie. Just like the first one it hit close since I have a daughter, and the kid grew up about the same speed mine did from the 1st to the 2nd movie. Was recently in the news because it got leaked that the message literally came down from the top of, “Get the gay shit out of the movie” which made the LGBBQ crowd mad. 7/10. Probably 9/10 if you have a similar aged child to Riley.
Right now we’re watching The Last Kingdom. Not a movie but a really good show about Vikings and King Alfred building England. I haven’t read too much into the historical accuracy for fear of spoiling major plot points but I have seen that Alfred was very accurately portrayed.

Last Kingdom is great and I believe there is at least one movie that actually ends the whole series.
Someone just told me this today. The advantage of starting a series in 2024 that was originally released in 2018. Our good friends have been raving about this one since Covid and we just got around to checking it out.
Penguin is crushing it. Broke IMDb record.
