The last movie you've seen, and rate it.

My kids liked it also. Apparently there are lots of Minecraft inside jokes that crack up the younger ones.

I have seen a lot of movies, but nothing notable.

My daughter has played Minecraft most of her life (she’s 18 now) and went to see it with friends when it came out. She wanted to hate it going in thinking it would ruin most of the lore of the game but enjoyed it. We recently watched it with her at home and both my wife and I enjoyed it. It was a dumb, fun “turn your brain off” kind of movie. Jack Black was Jack Black but turned up to 11.

Jack Black is a jerk off…and I won’t watch ANY movies he’s in.

How about now?

Accountant 2, was pretty damn cool! 8.5/10

Yep!

Watched Accountant 2 yesterday, agreed, pretty good action movie. I liked the first one too. I’ll say 7/10 because it was a little slow to get going.

Also re-watched Gladiator.

I am Maximus Decimus Meridius, Commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

10/10 still. That line alone is worth 10/10

Gladiator II. 7/10. The sequel is rarely as good. No Russel Crowe (obviously), no line anywhere near as good as, “I am Maximus…”

Warfare. 8/10. Brutally realistic war movie retelling an ambush in the middle east. The soldiers who were there were HEAVILY involved in the production. One of the seals, Ray Mendoza, has a writer/director credit.

Thunderbolts. I should know better by now with Marvel. 5/10. B grade Avengers battle depression for 2 hours. There were a couple funny scenes but overall, meh.

Ballerina. 8/10. What a great spinoff of the John Wick universe.
Also, I don’t know which would be cooler/harder… Training for a Tom Cruise Top Gun movie or training for a Keanu Reeves John Wick movie… (might not want to watch this until after you’ve seen Ballerina)

Watched F1 yesterday.

Pretty good for a racing movie.

I have also been watching drive to survive on netflix.
It’s a lot better than watching an actual F1 race on TV.

Drive to survive is so well done, it got me hooked on F1. And agreed it is way more interesting than most of the actual races.

I think the F1 movie may only exist because of Drive to Survive.
There are some similarities from the show, then add the standard movie plot with a veteran and rookie dynamic.

Happy Gilmore 2 was ok.
Typical Sandler movie.

Holy shit this movie sucked ass LMAO, it was terrible. I couldn’t finish it.

Absolutely shit bag of a movie

I don’t remember him being a bad actor, but all the actors in this movie were bad

It made the acting from F&F look like the Shawshank Redemption

I think this movie might have caused 9/11

I’d put Happy Gilmore 2 around 7/10. My wife and I enjoyed it. Lots of great callbacks to the original. And the cameos were wild. The Cameron Boyce one was a real classy move by Sandler.

I saw a quote today that really hit home. You fall into 1 of 2 camps with this movie:

  1. You laughed because you still have some of your childish sense of humor.
  2. You didn’t laugh because you’ve fully transitioned into being an old person.

Caution… spoiler alert:

I laughed. I guess I’m not that old yet

HG2 was pretty good, deff an 8.5/10 for me.

Check out Battlefield Earth. Had something to do with Scientology. I think they’re obligated to make movies that reinforce their religious narrative.
