^ thought it was a little long. I gove it a 7/10.
The Hurt Locker: 7.5/10. Nothing too exciting but I enjoyed it.
sherlock holmes - don’t waste your time
avatar - 10/10, seriously it was awesome
star trek - 8/10, not the greatest movie ive ever seen but I really enjoyed it. worth watching.
Up in the air- 8.5/10. Really enjoyed it, George Clooney’s character was an ultimate bro, flying around the country firing people. Only thing that could have been better was how he was at the end :tif:
I just read the last few pages and saw that some people actually liked sherlock holmes? WTF is wrong with you people?
imdb users gave it a 7.7/10
that is laughable. The movie theater was empty when I was there, and one couple actually walked out in the middle of it lol.
The Final Destination (the newest one): 1/10
it was just awful. i couldn’t believe that it wasn’t a straight-to-dvd release and that it actually had theater time.
Book of Eli 8/10, I like post apocalyptic movies,Denzel Washington and Mila Kunis.
Critics say its too preachy when in reality a few lines from the bible are recited, nothing major.People are misinterpreting the meaning of the movie, its more about preservation than anything.I thought the cinematography was really good as well.
I really enjoyed it as well, and agree with your rating. HOWEVER the montage just before the end almost ruined the movie for me.
They Live
8/10
Put this on your Netflix! Awesome movie about social control by way of distraction, plus Roddy Piper. If anyone wants to read the original short story (very short), lmk and I can email a copy.
6.5/10 - Extraordinary Measures. The only way I can describe it is that it’s a good movie to see if your GF wants you to go. I wouldn’t choose to watch it, but it wasn’t to watch. It’s a drama, but they steered away from long drawn out scenes. The movie keeps moving and is ~2 hours long. Not too sad either. Not to mention, we got the tix for free.
Hurt Locker - 10/10 - Awesome movie.
District 9 - 9/10 - If you didn’t like this movie, you probably didn’t get it. Amazingly well done.
Inglorious Bastards - 8/10 - Pretty darned good movie. I feel like it is one of those movies I’ll like more as I watch it again too…
Bangkok dangerous-Nicolas cage is in it.I wanted to see it even though it was a flop.
7.5/10 Pretty solid movie.I thought the acting was good.Good storyline that kept it moving.I made my gf watch it with me and she liked it just as much as i did.
Agreed. I now own all three of these.
Been a while since I’ve been in this thread…
2012: 7/10. It was a little depressing. Lots of cool visual effects, goes a little into moral problems you would undoubtedly run into while selecting who to save when an entire planet is about to reboot.
Star Trek: 9/10. I never watched the show but really enjoyed this movie. Between this movie, Lost and Fringe I’m really becoming a fan of J.J. Abrams.
Law Abiding Citizen: 8/10. Yet another vengeance movie with a pretty interesting take on our broken criminal justice system.
Sherlock Holmes: 5/10. It was ok but I was hoping for a whole lot more.
Avatar: 10/10. My first “new 3d” movie experience so that may have played a part. Yeah, the story was Pocahontas with 12 foot tall blue aliens playing the part of Indians but Cameron’s visual genius is what makes the movie.
Surrogates: 6/10. The best part of this movie was the discussion we had after the movie about the whole idea of living life through an idealized virtual copy of yourself.
500 Days of Summer: 5/10. It was a quirky romantic’ish comedy. Wasn’t my pick, found myself flipping through the iPhone once or twice. Tons of flash forward/flashback which I found annoying.
Did you just tell us the ending?
I think the title tells you the ending.
Moon.
8.5/10
GREAT flick.
