The last movie you've seen, and rate it.

LOL it was a pretty funny flick. i like the redneck in it with the “bird” and shirts his sidekick lol

watched this in film class. pretty wacky, but i liked it. 8.5/10

crank 2: 12/10.Better then the first.Its a great movie

District 9
8/10

I went into it thinking it’d be another stupid aliens/sci-fi movie. I really like dthe story line. the social commentary it seemed to be a metaphor for creeped me the hell out. And the prawn kid was adorable.

She’s out of your league - 7/10

Funny movie, tons of hilarious one-liners and odd situations. The guys that get all fumbly and nervous in front of girls will appreciate it.

You really thought so? I hated that movie.

Hot Tub Time Machine: 8.5/10

The only reason I saw it was because I had a few hours to kill and it was the only movie that would finish before my class started. I was very surprised to end up laughing the entire movie. It’s like an 80’s comedy but with more sex and swearing.

It Might Get Loud …8/10

Great Movie if you are at all into music. Jack White, The Edge and Jimmy Page all tell how they got into playing, their journys and share some riffs. Jimmy Page is my favorite guitar player, so hearing his background first hand was awesome.

Up in the Air…9/10. It was worth my $1 red box rental

the road - 9/10 if you like post apocalyptic movies, this is a MUST SEE. possibly the most realistic one ever?

Food Inc. 10/10 documentary points.

Don’t watch it if you don’t want to be disgusted by our food system. Our beef spends its entire life covered in shit and then the shit gets in our food, chickens that can’t walk, a couple of huge corporations that control our government food policy. Thus our government is no longer protecting us. It really is the jungle all over again.

A “butcher shop” with a SCADA system? That’s not right.

Did you know that Monsanto has patented a life form? There is a species of Soy that they developed and managed to convince our government that they thus own the rights to every individual organism. Can’t wait till they expand that to animals. I’m going to patent a dog breed and then charge unsuspecting owners a yearly fee to let them keep “my” dog.

Is that one of those “Be a vegetarian, only eat dirt” type documentaries, or is it a little more unbiased?

No not at all. It gets into the politics of the food system and everything. It encourages eating animals, just ones that aren’t likely to make you sick while simultaneously putting farmers out of business. I mean I’m sure it’s biased, but it’s really pretty informative. Everyone should see it or something like it, to at least be aware of what they’re eating and how it got there.

I watched some new food in schools show on TV where the Britt chef wants to change the school food program in some fat WV town. Brought the kids in, showed them the big bits that get used off of a chicken, then ground up the leftover carcas…
Mechanically separated it and asked them if they wanted to eat it. They all refused.

Until he mad it into a breadcrumb covered patty and fried it up. Then they all ate them.
Looks like a promising show that will have zero effect on what people actually eat.

Last movie I watched was Zombie land: 7/10 I liked it.
I’m told I need to find a copy of “idocracy”

Avatar - 9/10 I was really impressed. There is a strong message in this movie about how our world has been working. I liked that the “villain” was a private organization and not a form of government, but it could have certainly went both ways. Great effects, great action scenes. And call me weird, but that blue chick is kinda hot.

Up in the Air - 6.5/10 Has it’s funny moments, but pretty slow. This is a really forgettable movie for me.

Harry Brown: 7/10 A decent vigilante movie. It’s hard to go wrong with Michael Caine… pretty sure he could carry just about any plot.

Hank and Mike: 1/10 It’s a movie about two easter bunnies who get laid off. Like real people in easter bunny costumes they wear 24/7/365 that are employed by a giant corporation to break into houses and hide easter eggs. This is why my brother in law doesn’t normally get a turn picking a movie on movie night. It would have been a 0/10 if it weren’t for the song about love. I’ve included a youtube clip to the song so you can watch the only redeeming part of that movie in 2 minutes:

Boondock Saints 2, All Saints Day: 6/10. For reference, I would give the original 10/10. Just can’t live up to the original.

9: 7/10. Another interesting take on how we as a species are going to self-extinct ourselves.

The Vanguard- 6/10 Cheap Zombie movie made out of the UK I think? It is worth watching if you DL it for free.

Boondock Saints 2, All Saints Day: 7/10 (great way to spend a night with everything the first one had only less drag, still not as good as the first but I look forward to 3)
Observe and Report: 4/10 was on TV late one night so I watched it.
Ghost of G/F Past: 4/10 again on TV and started strong with plently of attractive women, but then fell apart

How to train a dragon- 9/10. Really good plot.Great visuals. One of the better 3d movies

Luckey number slevin- 9.4/10 I really enjoyed this movie from start to finish.Great action/suspense type movie.Just became one of my favorites.

woooh blast from the past with that one…I haven’t watched that in Four EVER
