The last movie you've seen, and rate it.

Hot tub time machine. 5/10 poorly done, laughs seemed like they were trying to hard. just plain dumb IMO, i read it was compared to :The Hangover" no fucking way, the hangover was pretty funny, this didnt come close.

Brothers. 7/10 pretty good movie, had some moving scenes and i could see it being a realistic portrayal. KInda long and was one of them movies where you say “thats it?” at the end.

Men WHo stare at goats. 7.5/10 Was a Humorous film, not funny like i had heard. KInda long and dragged out.

couples retreat: 1/10
It was awful. I might have smerked once or twice.
Probably because the only mildly funny scenes are in all of the trailers on TV.

The Blind Side: 9/10 I wasn’t expecting this to be as good as it was. Highly recommend.

I just came in here to review this one…

The Road - 9.8/10
God damn.
This movie takes place in a post-apocalyptic America, roughly 5-7 years (i’m guessing, they may have said it but i missed it) after the “end of the world” events. Although they don’t go into great detail as to why the world is in such ruin, there are plenty of hints that mother nature laid some serious smack down. Earthquakes, volcanoes, etc. The world is slowly dying and it’s said that all species of land animals are all but extinct, and humans are well on their way. The sun is nearly completely blocked out by ash in the atmosphere and the temperatures are constantly dropping.
Viggo Mortenson and his son (the characters have no names) are traveling through the wasteland usa with the single hopeful goal of finding salvation in the south. Since all the plants and animals have been dying off or have completely died off, starvation is the biggest threat… except for a portion of the remaining humans who have turned to cannibalism to combat starvation.
This movie is just good. Dark, gritty, and very tense. EXTREMELY dramatic… everything that the end of the world should be. This has to be Viggo’s best role to date, and yes I’d say he’s better in this than in lord of the rings.

Watch this movie.

Harry brown. 8/10

If you like Gran Torino, this is a must see. It’s kind of like the British version but with a better plot.

+1 I’d give it about a 8/10 though.

Did you hear about the morgans… 6/10 total chick flick with some funny parts. Wouldn’t have watched it, but the wife wanted to…won’t watch again unless she makes me lol.

Class of the titans- 7.5/10 OK man movie, fighting and shit, lots of cgi… ok at best…

Kick Ass- 8.5/10 Great movie… little ~12 y/o girl kills people and says “cunt”. I’d say its almost a mix of super bad and smoking aces. Fuggin awesome.

The Losers: 2/10
It was hard to put my finger on exactly why this movie sucked. Maybe it was the bad acting. Maybe it was the way it tried to be funny but not funny enough to be a comedy. Maybe it was the way it tried to be dramatic but not enough to be a drama. Bottom line, skip this one.

Taking of Pelham 123 (the 2009 version): 7/10
I’ve always like Travolta when he plays a bad guy and it’s hard to go wrong with Denzel. Two great actors, pretty suspenseful movie.

From Paris With Love: 2/10
I loved Taken and this had the same director so I had high hopes. Big fail.

Ironman 2: 7/10
Just your typical big summer action movie. Don’t look for a deep plot and just enjoy the ride. Pretty sure both these movies would have sucked without Robert Downey Jr.

such an awesome movie. id say 9/10

Idk about that rating. The other actor sucked but travolta MORE than made up for it.

I’d say at least a 5/10 for The Losers. There was some killing and explosions, I’d consider it a pretty typical action movie. Nothing great, but nothing that horrible either.

Shrek 4- 7/10 Has its funny parts, but gets a little boring. Seems just like the other Shreks.

Started watching Season 1 of “The Shield” seems pretty darn good so far. 7.5/10 for a TV show thus far.

Alexandra’s Project, watched it while working the other day via Hulu, eff’d up flick. Cliff’s: wife loses mind, makes crazy video tape to break up with husband and hilarity ensues @ his expense. 4.5/10 at best.

Shrek Forever And After (and too correct everone it is Shrek 4 there was already a third shrek) was quite good, lots of funny Mike Myers expect humour and the Banderas and Eddie Murphy banter was good as always. Great for kids and adults same as previous 3.

The A-team, i really loved it, it captured the cheesiness of the TV series and just had some awesome action seens, was a little over the top but still awesome.

Youth in Revolt - Awesome movie 9/10 Must see, Michael Cera’s mannerisms throughout this movie are GREAT.

Smoking Aces 2- 6/10 not as good as the first but still entertaining in that insane cheesy action flick sorta way.

Grown Ups - 2.5/10… Read a review that hit the nail on the head… Its like the happy madison guys wanted to hang out for a couple days and lazily filmed a movie while doing it. May have chuckled 3 times, but never once let out a full blown laugh. Thought with such a stacked cast we would have gotten a hilarious movie, but I was thoroughly disappointed.

^ funny people sucked too. I figured grown ups was gonna be the same, looks like i was right.

Inception - 10/10 (Really like an 11 or 12 out of 10 to me)

This movie is something like The Prestige meets The Matrix, mixed in with an Ocean’s Twelve style heist plot!

Christopher Nolan does an incredible job of squeezing everything possible out of this movie, without making it seem over the top of forced upon the audience. The casting is perfect, DiCaprio wasn’t even my favorite character in the film, for me the secondary characters are really what brought this movie together even though they were not the primary focus (Batman/Dark Knight fans will recognize several faces).

After reading a couple of reviews, I went into this movie thinking it would be super complicated to follow (even overly complicated) , but that just wasn’t the case really. If you can grasp Memento or the Matrix, you will be able to wrap your head around the intricacies of dreams, within dreams, within dreams…

I am likely to go see this again, it was that enjoyable to me, one of the best movies I have seen in many, many years

The Bear. 11/10

I’m dying to see this. Maybe I’ll go tonight.

Really? The first one was HORRIBLE, I can only imagine how bad the second one was.

I saw Inception at the drive in last night with the woman and I thought that the first 2/3 of it was pretty good but I felt that the last 1/3 of it was really dragged out or something, I don’t know. Definately worth seeing.
