Despicable me 9/10-I expected a really kiddy type movie but i laughed my ass off and the gf really enjoyed it to.I stayed laughing through the entire movie and really enjoyed the characters.
Grown ups 3/10-I expected this to be better.I heard it was really funny from a couple people.I felt like they made this movie in one weekend just sitting around. The acting wasent very good from anyone in it.They just bust each others chops during the entire movie. Its funny when you and your friends are doing it but not actors who you have no persoanl ties to.
This movie was great,I would rank this right up at the top with the movie Heat.Ben Affleck has proven himself to be a worthy director and his acting isnt too bad either in this movie. 9/10
I saw Inception again about 2 weeks ago, and was still just as blown away by it. I really cannot wait for this to come to dvd. I am interested in more scenes and really interested in Chris Nolan’s commentary
Really well done. Obviously based on the true story but I’m sure there are certain points being embellished. Believe it or not, Justin Timberlake actually does a good job acting in this one. A good portion of comic relief too which is always great. Lost a few points because they really tried to make Mark Zuckerburg look like an asshole and it almost gets annoying at times. But I understand why they are doing it. Would highly recommend.
Very well done, some actual footage of Hurricane Katrina. Was absolutely heart breaking at times, it was a local premier showing (bunch of animal rescue groups in attendance) and they passed out tissues in advance. Really makes you think hard about what happened in NOLA, and what you’d do if you were in that kind of situation.
i just saw im still here. its a documentary about joaquin pheonix trying to be a rap star after retiring from acting. its pretty intense becase hes an amazingly shitty rapper. casey affleck directed it. theres a scene where he orders hookers to his apartment and gets so excited he has to cut some rails on his desk whiel telling his friend who just got out of rehab how much hes fucking up his life by not particiapting in the coke/hooker party. im pretty sure the entire film is a farce or some kind of performance art for joaquin, but it seems pretty believabel in a fucked up sort of way. anyone else seen it?
Unstoppable: 8-10. Really good action/suspense. Denzel rarely signs on to bad movies.
Predators: 7-10. I think going into this one with low expectations gave it maybe a 1 point bump, but I was entertained. Little disappointed that they made reference to Arnold beating the predator by covering himself with mud but then neglected to so much as try it. I’m pretty sure if I was fighting against some seemingly unstoppable alien killing machine and someone dropped proven knowledge on me about it’s defeat I wouldn’t go, “that’s a cool story bro, but I’ve got another plan”.
Faster: 4-10. Speaking of bad movies. The action was ok. It was like Walking Tall, only with a shitty plot.
Mega Piranha: .1-10. Every now and then my wife and I get in the mood for a bad sci-fi movie. Not only was this a bad sci-fi movie, but it had Tiffany (yeah, that Tiffany of middle school masturbatory fantasy) in it. Really bad movies should celebrate their awfulness, not try to hide it like this one did by pretending to be serious. And what’s happened to Tiffany just made me sad in my pants. Best line though, “I told you we should have increased the megatons.” What made it the best line was Tiffany said the “tons” part like croutons, butchering already stressed dialog.
Watched The Mystery Team on netflix. Brought to you by derrick comedy who brought you short skits.
