Yeah, I was more thinking out in the country, where your neighbors are miles away.
Either way, 7pm is pretty lame. If you were doing it at 11pm I could understand neighbors being pissed. As for calling in a noise complaint, I can see it both ways (at least if it was a more legitimate complaint because it was late at night). Why bother going over to “reason” with someone who’s so inconsiderate that he’s doing it in the first place?
I’m having a problem with my neighbor right now. Every time his daughter visits she brings 2 or 3 dogs with her, which they then lock up in his sunroom right next to my bedroom. The last time they were visiting I had to call six different times between 11pm and 4am to tell them to shut the fucking dogs up. The last time, I flat out told them I’m doing calling them and all future calls will be to the APD for noise complaints. So all talking to him directly got me was six times of being woken up to constant barking.
At least you tried first. My old neighbors got on my shitlist in a big way by going directly to the cops without even trying to talk to me. I informed them that the next time they do that they’re getting a 9ft privacy fence on my easement, two feet outside their bedroom window, so it’s really their call.
Both times the cop was super cool and didn’t even request for me to be any quieter. Last time I even started it cause he thought it was sweet. I do work on the car late but I avoid loud tools and starting it too late.
I would never blow somebody off like that. My neighbors are all pretty cool and have no issue with me or the car. It is a guy two doors down and he can suck it. Ima build a fucking top fuel car next.
If I ever leave the city(maybe when I have children) I would head out to the pendleton/wheatfield area. My gfs dad has a shop out there and I love it.
I was maybe 19-20 at the time…had my mustang convertible and decided to go for a cruise with a buddy at like 11pm. We went through DT, and we going to get on the skyway/rte. 5 near Adam’s Mark.
I was the first car in the left turn line behind me was some POS green explorer with a bunch of dudebros hanging out the windows being drunk and shit. I take off from the light normally and they decide to get rightttt up on my ass the whole way up the ramp so I sped up pretty good to get some space, they caught up and thought they were cool and pulled up next to me, fake swerving at me and shit (maybe not fake…they were drunk) so I sped up again to get some space. They caught up again and turn on strobes in their headlights. At that point I was like fuccckkk this and took off to about 140MPH down rte 5 until I hit Lackawanna, I wanted to get back to the 90 and homeward. I get caught at one of the lights in Lackawanna and they catch up once again…this time they get out of their car and start coming at me, thankfully the light turns green and i left them in a damnnnn smokey burnout.
I turned into a neighborhood i kind of knew near big tree, but these guys still are trying to follow me/keep up, so I decided enough of this and called the cops. They told me to go to some firehall on rte 5 and wait there. I get there and as expected the explorer gets there, I was able to get my top and windows up and lock the doors before they started pounding on my windows and top trying to get me to come out. About 45 secs later 4 Hamburg PD cars show up. They got the guys face down and cuffed at whatever, questioned me and my friend a bit. I told them the story including my illegal escapades. The cops tell me to go home, I asked what charges are being filed against the people chasing me and they said not to worry about it.
I made a couple of phone calls the next day and it turns out the driver’s mom is a judge in Hamburg and they didn’t get shit charged against them. :tup: to that.
last night, man passed out and oozing blood from the nose and mouth at a bar, he came to in a few minutes, but pretty freaky, then I thought of this thread
Cool story. You went 140mph on a public street but you got stuck at a redlight and waited til it turned green before leaving while people were getting out of there car to possibly assault you.

I dialed 911 last Friday night because some drunk asshole in a Silverado almost killed several people and even drove over a curb and took out a street sign.
2 winters ago… There was a black Lexus suv coming at me head on in my lane down Orchard Park Rd. As i swerved out of the way, I saw the guy wake up shocked and swerve back in his lane.
