the last time I dialed 911 was because _________

…an 8-point buck was running down Millrace North in Willyville and decided to try to jump over a spiked 5ft gated fence. Needless to say he impaled himself in the abdomen :frowning: , 911 transferred me to animal control and they were there in 10 minutes.

lol, idk, i was drunk. wonchjay was def there. could have swarn you were!

4 days ago. I locked my keys in my car while at Tim Horton’s in Fredonia. No stores around had a metal coat hanger :frowning: lol…good thing the cop was cool about it haha

I called on my retarded neighbor who decided to have a party. I’ve had and been a part of many in the past so I was hesitant to do so. Mine were in University heights though. Nothing out of the ordinary in that area.

Loud parties (anytime really, let alone at midnight) in the village of Kenmore on the other hand are just stupid to begin with.

Having the people from your party standing on my front lawn, drinking beers and leaving the empties on my lawn is shitty. Blocking the sidewalk with cars, isn’t the brightest idea either. I called 911, and they said I was the 3rd person to call and police were on their way. Kenmore PD shut that down really quick!

Before that was when I obliterated a deer and my car on the 990 while doing 70mph. That was a mess right at the beginning of morning rush hour!

my weiner wouldnt get soft

too many lil blue pills

Kid skateboarding slammed fucking hard off a 10 set, wasnt moving and was leakin from the dome piece.

A gang of squids were driving at a high rate of speed and one of them almost smashed into my car switching lanes and 2 other cut me off and the rest were just being insane, so I called the Popo. If your driving makes me scared, there’s something seriously wrong.

called last year on a white grand prix from connecticut swerving in and out of lanes and almost hit me a couple times on the 290. was gonna follow but didnt feel like going over the grand island bridge. gave the police the direction of travel.

never had to call 911 but had it called for me twice. First time i hit a tree at 60+ on my snowmobile going through chestnut ridge after my ass end slid out on some ice and couldn’t bail in time. Woke up sitting on my knee (broken femur real bad) and some guy calling 911. Second time my spastic adhd friend was swinging a piece of exhaust piping like a bat in my garage and i walked in and he accidentally cranked me in head right above my left eye blood every were. 60 stitches later.

You guys do realize there are numbers you can call for non-emergencies right? Calling 911 for a noise complaint is just crazy.

you do realize that if you call 311 for a noise complaint they’ll tell you to call 911, right?

Whats wrong with just calling the local police department’s number?

Whats wrong with going to talk to the person?

what am I, Wikipedia? I’m not looking up the local police dept. number at 4am so that I can accomplish the same thing as dialing 911. I’m also not going into a crowd of drunk people to negotiate when it hasn’t worked with them in the past.

It’s always situational, and I certainly don’t think it’s unreasonable in this one.

Im just bitter cause one of my neighbors calls on me for working on my car. :frowning:

I can never see myself being that guy that calls the cops for noise. Partly because my biggest noise complaints happen at like 7am when for some stupid reason the law says people are allowed to make it, and partly because I’ve had them called on me before and think it’s super passive-aggressive.

How loud is your car/the work you’re doing and what time are you doing it? You’re always talking about how great it is living in the city, but part of that is realizing your neighbors are right on top of you. Without more details than, “working on my car” it’s hard to take a side.

Yeah JayS that would be much different in the suburbs. :picard: I don’t want you to take a side. The car is loud as fuck and im sure it is annoying. Hell I am on their side and would gladly tell them that and explain im sorry for the inconvenience. I only have had to do work where I needed to start it a bunch 2 times. Once for a coolant issue and once for an ignition voltage issue. Both times were a around 7pm. I just hate passive agressive losers/fggts/pssys who can’t come and have me explain the issue in two seconds…or they can call the cops and nothing gets accomplished and I keep working on it.

Living in the city is great. But to think there will be no cons is delusional.

I had that happen to me also at like 11pm. I had my garage door open and the air compressor was going. The cop just walked up and told me to close the door or stop using the compressor.
