hahha in all ohnesty bro, im not saying all dealership mechanics are retards But, you can only get to a certain point replacing oem parts and do re and re’s , where as a mechanic that does everything and does it on alot of cars will obviously have more experience, and to add to that be able to fabricate and do wiring and electronics and tuning.

and also fix cars that other shops have hacked up eg the dealership.

so what im saying is im not 16 and i do know what im talking about , im sorry if i offened you as a acura dealership mechanic but if you are being offended then that means some of the stuff i said is true, otherwise you wouldnt take offence and would laugh it off.

either way Pavel i hope it works out for you with your car.

Pavel, it is hard to believe that the gas would be the only contributing factor.

I’m sure if it was the gas, there would be other similar occurances. Maybe go by the gas station and talk to one of the attendants, see if there have been any complaints?

i see what your saying. my point is there are good mechanics and bad mechanics anywhere you go. and blaming the employees at a dealership is hardly fair as they are just following the rules set for them by the owners.

ok then, either way the reason i get pissy about stuff like that is because i dont like it when people may not get fair treatment from a dealership because i believe in ohnesty and helping people.

Here is an update:
Got the car back
1 injecotr replaced, other ones supposedly cleaned
6 spark plugs replaced - i just said screw it and let them do it even though i had new NGK’s in there
1 coil replaced

Supposedly they cleaned the head, etc

Total cost $860 taxes in… they took away the diagnostics charges. The labour was about $350, so I guess not bad. The car runs perfect now :slight_smile: I’m happy again :wink:

Thanks everyone for your support and advice, it cost less than what I was expecting, so I’ll just put this matter behind me and keep saving for a Merc. CL-S

ps. The yellow GTI is FF, oh and so is the SRT-4 :wink:
