No one in the ADS mentioned any racial ties to the word. And there’s nothing available to the amateur Internet sleuth that would suggest there is any sort of racial connotation tied to the phrase either. An email to Wilson’s office seeking an answer to why Wilson believed the term to be racist was not returned.

The recording of trumps call was released last night. One of the most respectful calls I’ve ever heard in my life. Proof that he was actually engaged in the phone call is that he recognized her son was accepted on an academic scholarship for football and not a sports scholarship for football. I didn’t catch that until Trump said something about it.

He’s been cleared to travel.
He had been put on Interpol’s wanted list. That, rightfully, would revoke his Visa. The whole thing got cleared up in short order.
Only thought is that it’s more #FakeNews
He never had a US Visa. Russia added him to a list which got him temporarily banned like anyone else who ends up on a list.

You’ve got to be able to admit when you’re wrong.
I still despise Rep Wilson for that move. I still think that listening to that call was politically motivated. I still think the widowed woman disliked Trump from the beginning. Maybe not that her intent was to slam Trump or use her husband’s death for her own gain. Not saying that at all. Having Rep Wilson be on that call shows that she was not optimistic about the call with Trump, though. Trump never stood a chance on that phone call.
