if you want a track car and a dd all in one and comfortable as well your best bet is the 00 01 type r only down side is it’s front wheel but front wheel can be fun too.
Depends on what you want… I like a fast dd one that is capable for street or track and has good gas mileage so I got an sr20det in a s13 and now I have around 350 to the wheels and am getting 650km to a tank with all the power I need for now.
FD’s cost a lot more and rotories blow up all the time… won’t comment on the specifics of the black and the blue FD’s, very nice and very fast cars though. I would say that both have twice the money into them that you can build a capable, but slightly slower, 240sx for.
RB’s are gay, which is why after 10 years on here there are still only like 10 guys running them successfully… most blow them up… several times over… and spend twice the $$ again to put it back in. They’re fantastic when left relatively stock in a GTR… i suspect the RB’s know that you’ve put them into a 240sx and then stop being awesome unless you dump hordes of money into them. Lot’s of guys on here chased teh dream RB25/26 only to blow $5k - $8k in the process for a blown motor. CA’s are retarded.
KA and SR are the easiest and cheapest… bolt ons will get you to 300whp daily driveable… not the MOST reliable and hard to make it to the track and back going all out, but its the same with anything modded.
LS1 people say is dead reliable for 300whp but only like 4-5 people on here have it and they are all very competent techs so the chances of them being reliable is supported by that

Unless the sti swap was done by the previous owner, it’s a waste of money (getting a wrx then doing an sti swap). Just buy an sti if that’s what you want… (I had two wrx’s, I still have one…)
If you have money, I will sell you a 240 with a JDM clean underbody. Even the bolts are JDM clean. If you have the money. One of the cleanest S14’s in Ontario, many can vouch for that.
Maybe. I hav always wanted an FD, and I have ended up cruising/ doing some spirited driving with two in the last week. They keep reminding me of the car I really wanted. I love my S14, but an S14 will never be an FD.
i drove an rx8 got to test drive the shit out of it, have to say i was not impressed at all, they are trash would rather drive a civic over any Mazda. some guy comes to pick up his gf at my work and parks one next to my s14 as im leaving hes like my car could smoke your car bro want to race, i tell him i don’t have the time of day to wast on a Mazda sorry BRO.
