Thinking about looking into picking one up in the near future. What are your opinions?
I think they are pretty sweet. RWD and boosted ftw
Too much $$$$$$ right now, what’s the advantage of those over a powerlab GT35R 350z for ~14k? Or even a turbo S2000? Very similar cars that you could get for cheaper. Plus, even though they have an “Evo motor,” it is still expensive to get them into the 110mph range and I don’t think there are any big turb kits out yet. The only big advantage I see is to get one “to be different” which is a retarded mindset or for the warrantee.
The 6 cyl version does sound amazing, though.
In my opinion, it’s still a Hyundai.
But, my opinion has no real basis, unless a bias against Korean car makers is a legitimate reason.
They’ve become very attractive to me personally
…but they can’t go much past 300whp before you bend a rod
?
Super good reasons right there.
Piss slow.
For NEW cars in this price range, I suggest the Lancer Ralliart.
also, HOLY FUCKING BALLER. i want this baddd
Yeh i thought the same thing in the end it is still a hyundai but im looking for something fun to daily. I was looking into a used VW but idk, in a way i want something different. I dont plan on going “big turbzzz” maybe intercooler intake exhaust and simple tune and be done with it and have decent daily. IDK
Thanks I felt the same way.
On a more serious note, I have never driven one, we have had only one or two come in to the shop, and I don’t have much knowledge on the cars.
that’s a lot of fucking money for a “decent daily.” might as well get an evo VIII or IX with bolt ons and have something better all around for thousands less. plus i think intercooler/intake/exhaust/tune is good for like 14.5@ 99 or something terrible.
ehhhhh you drive a 88 mr2 everything on the road is faster than your car.
:airhump:
Good god that thing is clean
i’ve put $0 into go-fast mods on mah ride, irrelevant point, my friend.
and my car as it sits would hang with and/or pull a $21,000 or whatever genesis, cool daily driver, bro :rofl :rofl :rofl :lol
Interestingly enough, the Genesis isn’t faster than his car.
Also, the '11 Mustang V6 will rock any stock Genesis, regardless of trim/motor.
Maybe hes not buying it to drag race
will NEVER buy a Ford.
If i did ANYTHING it would be auto-x
If I was about to drop 20k+ on a hyundai i would at least hope it was fast
said i was thinking about it, not 100% sure i was.
I took a few different cars in this price range out recently. I took out a Genesis 2.0T R-Spec and it was slow and nowhere near as nimble as I expected. I suggest you take one out, I am quite sure you will feel the same. I took the Ralliart out and it felt better, but obviously still wasn’t a rocket.
I am not a Ford fan either (obviously), but I can’t discredit the Mustang at all.
