drive the STI.
drive the dam STI you know you want to slide around in the snow
blizzaks are already on mine ready to go
drive the lotus fuck who cares its only a toyota corolla kit car
i would say drive the STI, get the car undercoated and put some snows on it. would be a fun winter with the AWD
drive the STi, and take me for some drifting adventures please! lol.
just stay away from dumpsters/small trees
drive the sti. I mean you’re probably gonna wash it and wax it all the time, salt won’t even hit it
Doesn’t that saying go, “Bass Ackwards”?
You just change the first letter, not the word?
Amirite?
^^ ass backwards
Why wouldn’t you drive it in the winter?
Better make up your mind soon.
yeah for real. it’s pretty shitty out…
My thoughts on it are… you have an AWD car, why not use it.
I’ve driven fairly powerful RWD cars in the winter since I was 16 (minus 2 of them) and while they can be a ton of fun, that all stops once you get it stuck for the first time.
heh, a few years back, with the SC I was trying to make it up a hill with very little snow on it, just really slick. I literally had to slowly roll it back down the hill a few times, then try and get enough speed to climb it to make it all the way up (I would get about 3/4 of the way up before the wheels would just start spinning). Not fun… especially if you have shit to do.
edit: with that said… If you drive the camaro, I hope you have AAA Gold or know someone with a truck that can pull you out once every few weeks (or hope you know how to handle a RWD car in the snow)
Newman, you will still need to keep insuracne on the sti while storing it. What if somone steals it…or fire…ect.
I say… Drive the sti in the winter…
I was going thru the same think with the gti…i was going to get a winter car but then i said…its a fuckin vw not a ferrari.
If you buy some POS you’re going to be so pissed at yourself everytime you get in your beater and see your sti just sitting there not being able to drive it.
Just don’t ass clown the thing this year…there are plenty of BIG parking lots (mckinley) to have some wicked drift sessions in,and you won’t have to worry about hitting anything.
a winter car is going to be a constant headache, especially anything under 2gs
Its not fun breaking down in the winter, youll probably spend more than you think you will save when something breaks.
Plus sti is going to be so much better in the snow, and more fun.
yeah. i’m gonna rock the sti.
If you are going to keep it and modify it for a long time then store it. The way you go thru cars I would just beat the piss out of it and have a blast. I had more fun last year in the snow in my WRX than I did driving it the rest of the year. Besides you can always trade it in for a newer model…
Besides, I will miss the entertaining threads of “OMG SHit almost just hit a tree/dumpster in my sti in xx parkling lot”
That was a fun night… heheheh…
Ha, quick story. First day steve bought his mustang GT it was snowing pretty hard, we were going to rochester to go drinking. The thing had these bald z rated summer tires on it.
That was a pretty interesting ride in that thing, getting it sideways and almost falling off an onramp in the ROC.
Steve its your car, you gotta drive i’m done…
Haha…
:word:
Or maybe it’s just a southern thing but that is what I thought.
