Meh, po-tay-toe po-tah-toe
hahaha, yeah… that sucked balls.
drive out to rochacha was decent… a little cold but no big deal, had a little fun with the car. Go out and get hammered… wake up the next morning with like 2 feet of snow on the ground, and proceed to TRY and drive back to Buffalo almost killing ourselfs like 5 times
good times man
i still say rock the lotus
i dont feel like thread-searching…is it still lowered?
id just drive it in the winter. i have to agree with the people saying the way you go though cars, its not gonna matter if you drive it. i would get it undercaoted and just wash it once a week if you’re even that worried about it. get some of that clear plastic wrap thats sticky on one side and cover yor carpets with it (make sure u tuck it in the rocker trim and everything) and get some good rubber floormats and you should be all set.
i think you’ll be sorry if you have beater for a winter car. i have to admit, since i have been ‘gifted’ my Blazer, i’ve had my truck off the road for 3 weeks now and im not nearly as depressed as i was last year when i had to drive a beater all winter. its nice, im going to visit my friend in Borkcprot next week, and i can jsut jump in the car and go, and now have to deal with having a car that ‘might’ breakt down and haver to worry about asking my mom if i can use her car and all this other bullshit.
no he is on stock suspension now…and his summer setup are height adjustable coilovers anyway
lol
try and find a cheap 4wd winter beater if you can afford it , which judging by your 2 cars i dont think it would be hard for you to finance lol. Either that or just stay ballin in the sti
Straight from Jeg, “the TA has no heat and the rear defogger doesn’t work either.” That wouldn’t be too much fun.
If you DON’tT drive the STi in the winter, you are retarded.
This comming from a kid that stores a TRUCK in the winter…
You ever try driving a 2wd pickup in the snow? It’s only fun in parking lots.
yeah lol. I dunno, Ill have like $600 on monday so if nobody buys the car ill prolly just fix it, throw some tires on and off I go. lol I’ll throw on a set of these http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Firestone&tireModel=Destination+M%2FT
id keep the sti on
Depends on whether or not you set it up right. I drove a 1992 2WD F150 for a winter. It also had 3 extra leafs in the back (read: jacked up and stiff.) It would have absolutely sucked in the snow, except I put snows on the back and 350 pounds of sand in the bed over the drive axle. It was actually quite capable, and it was nice to be surrounded by 5000 pounds of metal just in case…
So yeah, 2WD trucks can be really good in the snow.
Tires are key for a “winter vehicle”. I bet if you put snows on the lotus, and slicks on the STi, the lotus will be much better in the snow. I know it’s an extreme example, but it’s true.
Like Poop said, breaking down in the winter is way worse than the summer, plus wrencing on a snow covered vehicle is not cool.
X…
