Yeah, that’s how to do it right. That looks like it came from the factory with true left/right duals. I still think the 05/06 look is better because it doesn’t make the rear bumper look so tall.

I have to admit I have been hanging out on the LS2GTO boards lately. I am really liking the GTO and the look of the G8…for future consideration.

If you’re used to the utility of your wagon, hold out for the G8.

Between the gas tank relocation taking away a third of my trunk to the retardedly slow power seats my GTO is seriously lacking in utility. Things I knew when I bought it, but things I warn others about.

EDIT: Just noticed that picture is from my first autocross with it, when I was still running the paper plate from NC. You know you’re a real racer when you go to your first event before you get your permanent plates.

i dunno man. is it true dual exhaust? if so, i’d get the factory stuff and do it up right. if not

i’d work on the ‘pay the thing off’ mod. people keep asking me if i have anymore mods for mine, and it’s like nah - best thing i can do is pay it off right now. besides, LS1s respond pretty good to mods wayyyyy down the road, e.g. Lots of synthetic-running c5s getting supercharged at 140k, and running great past 200k with a good tune.

personally… I hated the [left]side exit when they first debuted the GTO, but it’s growing on me. It’s a little more stealthy than pipes hanging out either side IMO, although most motorheads would know a gto from a grandam (or atleast I’d hope)
