eh I used to feel the same way. But now I kinda see it as nice. I’m sure most of them would be mind numbingly annoying worthless n00b faggots so its probably for the best that they’re not posting. Also, I’m sure lots of OG’s have benefited and found good deals on shit that they probably would not have found if it were not for Pittspeed drawing in the seller to post about it here. If only there were a way to keep it separate from the rest of the forum…

What do you think about making classifieds a paid section? Even it is something like 10 dollars per year per user. It would help me out tremendously on the costs side of things.

that would keep people from just using this site for their personal classifieds. its just been a lot lately. i still check the site everyday but i just dont post cause i cant find interesting topics amoungst all the classified and new member posts. :dunno: i also think domestics are dead on this site, everyone had f-bodys and stangs… now it seems like its vws
I’d be for it. I could see it turning away a lot of people that just occasionally need to sell something. Like maybe everyone gets a thread or two leeway per month before they have to buy in… that could very well make it into a huge headache though… :dunno: just thinking out loud.
a lot of other sites i am on have a post count limit. like on reefcentral i think its 50 posts before you can sell anything, but they have to be worthwhile posts, not whoring. the mods on there keep track of all that stuff.
Yeah, but then you’d run into douchebags that would make multiple user names so that they could get more than free classifieds a month.
But that would cause a lot of work for the mods too. I like that this forum is pretty laid back and the mods aren’t nazi’s, and I’m sure they like it that way too. If they have to track the validity of posts it is going to turn into a full time job for them.
Or just not read the classifieds

Or maybe there could be a way that you could click on the “new posts” button and it would filter out all of the classified BS.
I suspect a lot of people would just post on Craigslist if there were a fee to post classifieds here.
