well anyway i installed my exedy disc clutch the other day and its really soft. i bleeded it lots. i used brake fluid but i will go try power steering fluid. but anyhow in low rpms its kinda hard to get into gear and as soon as i step on it the tranny makes a grinding nosie then i step on the clutch but goes right to the floor so the i throw it into nuetrual and then i have to pull the clutch back up. pump it a few times and it kinda works again. any suggestion would be great. thx
Don’t use power steering fluid.
Do you still have the damper in the line? With the damper in-line it is basically impossible to bleed the system properly.
Why the hell did you open the clutch line to do the clutch??? You know you can just remove the slave from the tranny and keep the line connected right?
Why would you want to use powersteering fluid in your clutch system. It recomends dot 3 brake fluid. If you put in P/S fluid be prepared to change every rubber seal in the system
Keep bleeding it, remove the damper, check for a leaking slave or master, and check the springs and pivot ball on the fork in the tranny
To my knowledge you want to have the washer on the pivot ball so that it has a little more leverage on the throw out bearing.
He was swapping out the whole engine.
Check with Silvers13 he put in an Exedy clutch and had some probs as well!

Exactly. ^ Just take the two bolts out and let it hang.
Maybe wrap a coat hanger around it and hang it once you take it off if your line is a little crusty.
