GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence on Thursday predicted that Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion, would be overturned if Donald Trump is elected president.
“I’m pro-life and I don’t apologize for it,” he said during a town hall meeting here. “We’ll see Roe vs. Wade consigned to the ash heap of history where it belongs.”
I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I personally can’t wait for an ultra conservative and religious rooted government. The United States of Iran has a nice ring to it. But hey, at least we will have a wall to keep the aliens out and the infidels from escaping.
That’s why I was so displeased with Trump’s pick of Mike Pence as his running mate. Especially since he will likely be doing most of the policy making while just slapping Trump’s name on it. It’s nice for people to think that they will be getting an ‘anti-establishment’ white house, but that is not what will go into practice.
I’m not a Trump fan but have been relatively ok with the idea of him as president due to his financial plans, up until Pence. Hillary is crap, and Johnson is pretty much too little too late. I really hate not knowing who to vote for.

Do you honestly believe an ego maniac control freak like Trump is going to let Pence push policy through that Trump doesn’t believe in? I don’t think Pence was the pick Trump wanted as much as the pick Trump needed to shore up support with the religious right. Looking at Trump’s past it’s pretty clear he’s not a very religious person regardless of what his recent shifts to appeal to the base so there’s almost no chance he’s going to let his VP shove a bunch of religious garbage down as laws.
Yep. Every candidate the GOP has put up in their ultra conservative views is why I have not voted for the party. I liked Trump until he made this pick so they lost my vote. Normally it wouldn’t be a big deal but he has stated multiple times that the VP is going to run the country and have unprecedented power with decisions so that is my concern.
I think Trump is the kind of guy that isn’t going to want anything to do with policy making and actually writing legislature due to his ego and wanting to just stay in the limelight. He will likely delegate all of that shit to Pence and make Pence more influential than Cheney with Bush Jr.
And with Hillary you get full term abortion… because you know… Mistreating a dog slightly lands you in prison but killing a child that’s okay
At this point any vote not for Trump is a vote for Hillary
I’d much rather have that while respecting the civil liberties of our citizens than to tell someone they can’t make their own decisions because MY god said you can’t.
I’m hoping that the hardcore Trump supporters will see that they are beginning to act like the hardcore Bernie supporters that they made fun of for so long and realize the irony in their statements.
Trump supporter pre-Pence: “Trump says what me means and means what he says! He won’t bend to “the man” just to get votes!”
*Trump repeatedly says he will have the VP run the policy side of things
Trump supporter post-Pence: “Trump didn’t really mean what he said, he wouldn’t do something like that, he’s just doing this to get votes.”
But they likely will just deflect and say things like “Yeah, well, Benghazi!”
