well that whole bracket assembly is off, all the bolts out…and the pump itself still isn’t moving one bit…
And the 2 bolts i got to by rotating the pulley a bit…neither were NEAR as long as the one pictured there…

I should be out there tomorrow, or thursday doing the nitrous install. If you need a hand at that point.
how can you not find the motor mounts? its what mounts the motor to the frame… find it, remove the bolts… thats it
If i recall correctly, you have a hybrid of a NA and TT PS pump… I really can’t remember.
It’s unlike me to forget to tighten a hose clamp, but there were so many damaged/missing parts that i was doing things so many times, who knows. I’ve got no real excuse, although pre turbo it’s unlikely that they were doing much at all…
That condenser plug may have just been ripped out when you were doing other shit. :gotme:
That said. All those pipes are shit and should be replaced.
Whatever…doesn’t matter now, just gives me a reason to go way bigger and way better with everything, and now i’ll be around every step of the way to ensure every single tiny detail is nothing less than PERFECT and to give myself the peace of mind of knowing i oversaw/personally did EVERY single bit of work on this car/build…
this car better be fast for all the UPPERCASE letters you are using when using words for POWER
!!
that’s the plan with twin GT2560R’s on there (apparently they use to be called the GT28R’s)…the turbos are capable of good power, now lets see how she holds up once done.
I believe sbanzer123 uses that turbo… packs a punch and makes good power from what I understand.
I get results. Feeble pump didn’t stand a chance. MOAR PROGRESS
i use the gt2871r. the gt28r is the nick named the disco potato, due to the compressor map looking like a potato some say. stock turbo on the s15’s
What was the issue with it? Or was it just being stubborn?
Bolt behind pulley, lines being stubborn as well.
Yeah if it’s a pre-94 pump I believe there are extra lines from the pump that run to the rear of the car for the HICAS.
Did you guys find the motor mounts?
His car doesn’t have HICAS, it was originally NA.
It just had 3 lines. Two pressure, and a reservoir line. Appears to be the N/A pump setup Newman was describing.
He wasn’t there for that, I was working on my car, asked me to take a look, and I was tired of his bitching ( <3 ). I want this thing running before I leave.
He has a TT motor, which may have come with a TT PS pump.
right, but even at that, where would the lines for the HICAS go? My guess would be that you would have to plug up any HICAS related PS hoses(at least).
Exactly. Some people plug them but run them toward the back of the car anyway. Or I’ve read where someone ran the lines to a cooler and back to the reservoir.
I have a TT pump…and the TT reservoir to match, so i just run a line from the extra outlet on the TT reservoir right into the extra return hard line on the pump since i have no other HICAS hardware…and the fluid kinda just loops from the useless reservoir outlet to the useless pump inlet…
And i can’t wait to see what they can do…i’m also very curious to see the difference in spool between the stock turbos and these ball bearing ones…probably won’t be much different though since while the ball bearing are supposed to spool a lot faster, these are also a lot bigger than stock…so it’ll probably just even out to what i’m already use to, just a lot more of a punch
