Turbo garages?

Where should I be taking my “turbo’d” car to???

What shop has turbo experence?

It’s easier to tell you where not to go. What you need is somebody who doesn’t jump to conclusions and is willing to be systematic. Adam at Cali may be helpful.

What about a nissan shop, they would have exp with 300tt right?

It is important to find a nissan tech who will not jump to conclusions, and realize all turbo cars are basically the same. I would recommend interviewing technicians first. If they are calm and methodical, they can probably help. Too many factory techs, can’t see past the blinders of the daily routine of regular CDM cars.

I would go Erickson Nissan and see what they say or Cali-Automotive. I would look into shops in Calgary too if you want your baby treated good. But also talk to the mechanic before hand and see what he knows

would the dealership even touch it?
not to many cdn techs have had expereince with the skyline gtr yet so i geuss your out of luck on that one. call sumaruas auto and explain your situation he is resonable and knowledgeable. he is probably the only one around(edmonton) that would be able to work on it knowing what he is doing.

Forget Ericksen because:
A) You won’t be able to get an appointment. I called and asked for a 16K service, which is basically a glorified oil change. They told me they were booking 9 days in advance.
B) Their shop rate is $85/hour, and if they haven’t worked on a Skyline before you can bet it will take them awhile to figure the car out.

Sorry I can’t offer a good suggestion as to who TO go to. :?

try silverstone auto that guy seems to know his shit as weird as he is LOL

they have three skylines sitting there right now. hwo could they not have worked on one?

3 where? on the roof. i was there yesrerday and seen nothing. did they come in today or soemthing?

He had two there in the garage last time I visited and my friend who gets all his work done there says hes seen 3 skyline’s at raymonds.

Please note the following:

This implies that they MAY not have worked on a Skyline, not that they hadn’t. I haven’t seen any there when I’ve gone in in the last little while, but I’m not really a frequent visitor either.

thats exactly what I told Charles today too!! :o

Just an update on the car and Speedworks, so far looks like all the lines are ok, so most likely the turbos, going to remount the O2 extension (gaskets and all) don’t qoute me on it exactly as Im adlibbing Neil

As far as Speedworks is concerend I feel REAL COMFORTABLE and CONIFDENT with them working on the car, and have already asked him to give me an estimate on labour for replacing my cv boot, ball joint, and a small fluid leak (oil or ps fluid)

Yeah, Neil is great. I walked in there at 5:00 and he spent 1/2 hour talking with me when he had tons of work to do and the phones were ringing off the hook. Nice to see a shop around that cares about their customers.

WHAT!!! he was wasting his time on YOU when he could have been working on my car!!!

jk, ya he likes to keep you informed

You wern’t even there yet, bizzle! Besides, obviously an N/A 4 cylinder car takes precidence over an AWD TT monster. DUH!

i still gotta talk to neil for the downpipe and testpipe

shieyt, sounds like he is gettin busy

Is he ever. They had 3 cars in the shop getting engine swaps done, he told me he couldn’t get my car in until at least 5 days after I stopped in, and to boot the phone must have rang at least 15 times while I was in there. I guess that’s what happens when you do good work.

Doesn’t sound like a monster with 0 psi on the gauge. N1 turbos are a good choice.
