over the summer i took a chance and bought a used s14 t28 turbo for my ca18det, ran great for 3 months, pulled hard at 14 psi high, 7 as a daily, but on a track day last week im pretty sure i blew an oil seal due to the oil spray outt of the charge pipe, and it sounded a little different.
the car was still holding full boost with no problems and after taking off the charge pipes there is minimal shaft play, spins freely… i talked to an industrial place in oakville and they quoted me 650 for new bearing seals and balance… is this something worthwhile, cna i rebuild it myself for cheaper?? any experiences, information, rec. shops would be greatly appreciated.
