Ya I put them on last night and they are stiff however the strut actually makes the fronts alot softer than the rears
Discovered the del sol issue, besides the head being cracked in 4 places the replacement headgasket I bought off of a guy down there was the wrong one and was missing part where an oil passage was. Right now motor is being pulled out, going to do new bearings check everything, buying a head off of bolis family, skunk 2 pro1 cams, full fuel system with 1250cc injectors ,sumped tank, a1000 , top mount and hopefully tune it around 32-34psi
nice,good luck!
Thanks man it was really upseting considering the car went 11.1 down at Mir on wastegate spring, and it had 0 power in 4th gear, and we bought that gakset quickly and changed the headgasket in about an hour an 15 mins , would have made our 3rd qualify pass I could almost guarentee it would have pulled off 10s I think if it was the right gasket it would have held for a run or 2 ( headbolts were stretched like hell) oh well were hoping to run a few more races like import face off and definetly Mir again next year, now that I see how serious those guys are I realize it truly is time to go big or don’t even go
Bring it on!!
Dont get the A1000. Go with twin 044’s
get a weldon and never buy another pump again. for real.
joe,
why suggest twin pumps? what happens when one goes on the fritz or the wiring to it goes on the fritz? just seems like a recipe for disaster.
and don’t sump the tank either. use a surge tank. none of the fuel sloshing problems like you get with a sump. i’ve been down this road before like everyone seems to be doing now. i know the twin 044’s will work, i just think the ideal of one pump failing is too sketchy. a weldon on a surge tank would be good for 1000hp all day long and never need upgraded again.
twin 044’s! but jason never listens to me
i do agree on not doing twin pumps. just hate the idea on one failing and won’t know. would rather have a pump quit and shut off than lean motor out due to lack of fuel.
Jay what do you mean by surge tank. never did look at blue car to see how you did it though? personally i have been a fan of sumped tanks but curious to how surge tank is built as for a new option later down the road.
good luck on the build
I bought a Borg didn’t I Steve?
if you do the wiring right twins do work and if you lose a pump you will know.
i am pretty sure i would listen to jay, he is the only one here that has built a 6 second car
How about a 255 feeding into a 044. I dont think I would sump my tank if i where to do it agian.
What about the NRG tech gastank?
More specific = Low speed damping/rebound settings are critical for drag launches, much more actual rate at the spring
very much agreed…this is what i would do if i did it over again.
I’ll do a little research , gotta sell some shit first
I would push like a 255 feeding an 044, but I fear jason will be going e85 someday, howevr maybe he can clear that up/or decide
E-85 is cool. Although next year I think i am useing C116.
I was considering e85 but I to am going c16 this upcoming year, like I said I want to really push the car to the limit this year, hopefully it can make some nice power
What EMS?
2-044 pumps, 1600cc, 45psi base and -10 line @ 890whp = 65% duty on C116
