UBRF Track Day

Hawk HPS baby…I have a question about convertables incase my borther wants to go…will he need any kind of roll-bar or hard top for an open track day like this

Garage area  most club level tracks don’t have paved paddocks, much less garages…

Not decided yet, I am leaning towards yes, some sort of bar will be required.

fixed :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds like fun, but I’m holding off for actual driving/pseudo-racing school…

whatever Mr. Ecotec

You never know…if they hope to have large events there it just might

That actually was Beth at my house, since she refuses to pay for internets.

And she’s done 3 days at Skip Barber. I’m jealous.

No drama here, just created in his own head.

I’d go if I could see the information, don’t feel like signing up another username.

Sounds like a scam to get people to go there… :eyebrow:

Why can’t you just start a list here, so people don’t have to waste time signing up and posting on a forum they’ll never visit twice?

if anyone wants to drive my car over the border for me, you’re welcome to. i have a restricted license and would like to avoid the hassle

:biglaugh:

The oposite could be said about me having to post the same stuff twice about safety. And then repeat it 7 times on each forum.

But what it really comes down to is driving cars fast = fun.
driving cars fast in a safer controlled environment = more funner.

So, I don’t mind saying the same thing 14 times if it means people can have a safe, fun time. But please, please, just for one of the times could someone actually read and absorb what is being said.

b/c it’s not a NYSpeed track day…I posted this here to give people who don’t go on UBRF a chance to participate in a track day (just as I will post it on regional forums)…if it pains you that much that you’d rather not actually go out and push your car in a safe closed situation…then don’t I couldn’t care less, it’s your loss to not participate, not mine.

Not to mention most of the questions asked have already been answered…all the details are on UBRF, the list is on UBRF, the deposit thread will be on UBRF.

You know this isn’t about cars. You don’t care about this forum or its members, just be honest.

We all know fairgentleman Z is genuinely into this, but 'c’mon Joe - You can’t expect us to believe you posted this here in “the spirit of automotive enthusiasm” when you say stuff like “on the real forum.”

And that just confirms it for me.

I’ve got nothing against you Joe, but I no longer support anything related to UBRF or HUK. That’s my decision. So I’ll be visiting this track on a day not touted as a “UBRF” day.

I posted it here b/c I want people to show up so it doesn’t cost as much…just b/c it’s not about cars TO YOU, doesn’t mean it’s not about cars to me. But way to show how off topic this forum goes on every thread…this is motorsports, incase you didn’t notice…I start drama in OT and KS where it belongs.

I agree with Joe, you guys are taking this thread where it doesnt need to go.

Ok, let me nip this in the bud before it turns ugly.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions about UBRF, or NYSpeed. You can make whatever decision you want, because, it’s a free country. But the bottom line is this. Both boards exist, and there is room for both.

BMW guys go to Porsche club track days. Porsche club Guys go to BMW track days. They can get along. So can we. See where I’m going with this?

Joe, Onyx has a point. So in the interest of keeping this what it is supposed to be about, let’s drop the “real forum” innuendo, shall we?

Back to talking about seat time at a racetrack. :tspry:

did I ever say that in this thread? No. Your leader posted it.

You don’t need high temp fluid for auto-x.

Hope you are ready for the accelerated full brake fluid flush schedule. You can’t leave that stuff in there the way you do DOT-3.

Did I ever say you said that in this thread? No. All I’m saying is let’s keep this focused.

 UBRF still exists? No shit. Anyone care? haha no.

When there is a NYSpeed Track Day I might be interested.

too scared to run the stock evo for cash at the track? 1LE not up to it anymore? :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: for years about the 1LE and now you can come run circles around all the imports, but you don’t wanna :

I thought this was a track day, not open wheel racing?

Because with the exception of Julie and Mike, none of you are licenced.

If this is “open wheel racing” by a bunch of people with no experience, then this whole thing will be a clusterfuck, and I definitely will not participate.
