Your reasoning has no base. How does the birth age of a driver directly affect the technology of todays vehicles?
The law was not based on driver competence, rather the limitations surrounding the vehicles themselves.

As an example, my father is 73 and has driven my old z33. He grew up driving in asia and europe. He is definitely an experienced driver who could probably put down better lap times with my z then I could have. So your reasoning is flawed.

The law is doing well in detering people from speeding and hopefully punishing the people who do regardless if they are driving a modified car, a minivan or an OPP cruiser. And this answer also refers to my comment on why call it street racing.

Yes it is working as a deterrent, but do you really think the OPP officers will be charged?
Why were they given pay with leave, if this is such a horrible crime?

Obviously, the law is not transparent…

Is perfect example why TNC has developed such a bad reputation and has had a deminishing posting count. As a lurker I have watched numerous people disappear and never return. I believe Tony240 was offering his opinion which is what the forums are for. No need to attack him personally. Debate and discussion is good and healthy and it is good to hear everyone’s opinions because that shows how diverse this community can be. But as a slient reader, it appears that all the members want to condone excessive speeds on the highways, bash and ridicule fellow members, and be all gangster.

I understand the mentality of Internet Bullies and how everyone is so tough onscreen. But really, as an elite poster, do you feel that you have represented the community properly?

Yes I do believe I am representing the community properly. I do not condone street racing, I never have.

The manner in which this law was passed is what disturbs me and many others.
