Underbody rust prevention

I had a pretty good test with carwell… A coworker and I both bought trucks brand new in 08 (silverado and a sierra). I had carwell applied every year since new, and there was no comparison between the 2 trucks. When I got rid of mine in 2014, Mine was completely spotless underneath. The frame, body panels, doors, etc all looked mint. My co-workers truck was bubbling in the rear fenders, and the door seams were staring to rust. I had 125k on mine, and he has about 90 on his now… Every vehicle I own moving forward is getting the carwell treatment.

This is a really good review.

BUMP.

Get your shit sprayed.

Anyone have a recent opinion on carwell vs rustkote? This would be for a 2014 Silverado. Looks like its never been coated or anything underneath yet. Thanks!

Have friend that gets carwell on his '14 Sierra every year. It’s very thick and waxy/gummy. I’m sure it will work well but if you work on your vehicle might make things messy. I just got rustkote on my '16 Silverado. It’s much thinner, leaves just a thin dry waxy film to the touch on it. Hopefully its just as durable.

I have an appointment for Rust Kote next Saturday for my wife’s new Soul. Planning on keeping it long term and getting yearly protection from Rust Kote so hopefully down the road I can have a good example for people to go by.

Taking my TL for it’s second application at Carwell tomorrow. Aside from the black grimy filth on the car, I have no complaints. I don’t know how it compares to the competition, though.
