Supertech is made by Champion Labs with their ecore line. Read what is said about that.

“Champion Labs touts their new “Ecore” design as a major advancement in oil filter technology. In my humble opinion, they are a major advancement in cost savings for Champion. I have no data to back this up, but that’s what fiber end caps and plastic core tubes say to me. I particularly don’t like their “patent pending” bypass valve design, which depends on the stamped leaf spring at the back of the filter to regulate the bypass pressure. One unlucky dent in the back of the can knocks it out of whack, assuming it was correct to begin with”

Try again.

Those of you who care and are particular about filters oil etc, one thing that should be closely inspected is the threads on the inside of your new filter. Its a habit of mine to clean them because there is often a surprising amount of metal shavings on them.

Being the outlet of the filter it will result in immediate unfiltered SHIT headed right for the soft outer bearing layers to get deposited or scratch them up a little. Ok, maybe i’m being a little dramatic there but take a look… no matter what brand it is. Next time I get a really good one I’ll post a pic in this thread.

See it all the time with the bigger filters at work.

never thought of that…good call.

that looks exactly like the setup we run on our quads and dirtbikes and shit. Its just a removable filter cartridge that you can clean or replace.
