If you want to ask this question, you need to really ask:
“Why do anything?”
Furthermore:
“Why pay $9 to see a movie in theaters when there are a ton on TV?”
Why do anything?

He’s baaaaAAAAAaaaack
I prefer my shit to be different than everyother car. dont think motor swaps fall into that categorie though
appearance- should be unique and make the car yours
motor- should be the best that you can afford to make the type of power you want
Agreed
My opinion is that different is good as long as it’s done well. I think therein lies the difference between something that is unique/awesome vs. ricer. A lot of people spend a good amount of money on the cars to make them faster, unique and more suited to them. A lot of the times the money that they have spent on their cars, could have been use to buy a nicer car. If everyone did that, the automotive scene would be pretty boring. I think what it comes down to is good taste and making good decisions with how to “waste your money” lol.
I think a lot of the automotive scene is creatively boring and by that I mean everyone mods their cars the same way, same color schemes, same parts. The cars that catch my attention are the ones that are unique to begin with and then have tasteful mods to boot.
A lot people seem to stick with the same type of cars and swear by them. Personally, I’ve tried to get a feel for as many different kinds of cars as possible. There’s something to appreciate in all aspects of the automotive world and I’d like to get a taste of it all.
no way dude, when people go the cheap route, lots of sweet carnage threads are produced and those are always awesome!
turbododge guys (ie myself) are the cheapest bastards in the world with absolutely ZERO aftermarket support (not the SRT cars… im talking 1984-1994 cars). its amazing to see some of the sweet fabricated stuff that people come up with to go fast cheaply. and a 2.2L 8v dodge with a few mods is a nasty car on the highway.
