So for those who were looking for an update on the situation with my blown motor…
To summarize thus far

Or if you don’t feel like reading a lot (thanks fobwall for the summery in one of the other posts)…
- Tim bought a motor from a guy that claimed that the motor was mint.
- Tim never tested the motor himself to see if it was mint.
- Tim sold the motor to Farmer’s friend [me] claiming that it was mint because the guy who sold it to Tim said so.
- The motor ended up being blown and Farmer’s buddy [me] got screwed over.
So here’s the update.
Starting with…
this issue is being worked out between the buyer and my friend.
Who’s this friend? I never heard or spoke to anyone other than Tim (multisynclg). The only other person he mentioned to me at that time, was when he tried to get me to go to another company, to buy ANOTHER sr, and he’d “help me part out the broken one”… Let that one sink in for a minute. He sold me a broken motor, wanted me to go buy another one and he’d “help me out” by getting ME to part out the broken motor… yeah.
Since then I have attempted to contact Tim multiple times with limited success. On June 10th I finally was able to speak with him and, after relaying a quote on a rebuild for the SR motor he sold me, I gave Tim a choice. He could either pay for that build to fix the bottom end, or refund the motor and be done with it. He explained to me that he did not wish to put any money into this motor and we agreed a refund would be the only way to settle the matter. It is important to remember here that Tim originally stated the parts he was selling (block, tranny, turbo etc) were in complete working order… (obviously this was not the case). So, I said i would give him until the end of the following week (the June 20th weekend) to come up with the money, and I would be by to drop of the motor and collect my refund.
Calling Tim in the following week proved to be futile as I could not reach him by any means to remind him, and to set a final date. (the Saturday or Sunday). Sure enough, as I’ve come to expect, Tim was no where to be found that weekend. On June 21st (the Saturday) I left yet another message saying i would be by the following day to get everything resolved and finished. Later that evening I received a call saying he was at his cottage and wouldn’t be home until Monday and would “call me when he gets in”… Great. So he skipped out.
By this time, it was pretty obvious to me, as I’m sure it is to most people following this that he wasn’t/isn’t going to pay me.
Called him on Tuesday, no answer.
Finally called him today, got a hold of him, and the short of it is, he said he wasn’t going to pay me… Surprise surprise.
His excuse (if you can even use that term) was that a third party was going to pay me, once another 3rd party gives them money that was owed to them.
So, basically, Tim’s screwing me over. I’m not finished with this matter but would like to clear up a few things.
The fact still remains I gave TIM $1400 for what was supposedly working parts for a SR20DET motor.
Tim did not deliver those working parts. (Whether he knew it was or not is not an issue. He advertised it as working, therefor the parts He sells must be in that condition)
He is unwilling to pay to get the motor into the condition that it was supposed to be SOLD as.
He is also unwilling to refund and is attempting to “settle” the situation using only third parties to get himself off the hook.
I really don’t know what else to say. Although I’m sure I’ll be adding more to this later.
