my friends car wont start, its turning over but nothing, its not the battery, not the altenator, when i checked, he had very little oil, do any of you think that it could be the lack of oil so there was too much friction in the engine which ceased the cylinders??? or somthing??
its not the battery because i gave him a jump, the car by the way is a 95 mazda 626 cronos, its manual with 209 XXX KM, …so we tried putting in oil, we put in 2 quarts but still nothing, i tried hitting the starter and still nothing, its making a sort of like squealing noise, kinda sounds like the starter is trying to, but not catching…any ideas? he needs this car to get to school and work so any help would be much appreciated…
will try, thanks for the help but i dont think that is the prob because if it wasnt getting fuel it wouldnt be turning over, the car is trying to start but wont turn over//…but maybe it could be the fuel pump thanks for the help i will try that now
thanks for all the help guyz i will try what you guyz are sayin, yea its true maybe there is no spark from the coil wire …ill let my friend know this so he can try it.
It’s actually right there, very close to the z, I circled it in red for you. No need to thank me, lots of people have trouble finding it, it’s in such a weird spot after all.
Actually to be unpleasently honest, yes, yes I do think you’re dumb.
IF it cranks, then no a pistons is not seized.
If you do not hear the fuel pump prime when you put the key to on, then you’re not getting fuel. If you pull out the spark plug wire and hold the end against the block and do not see (or feel because you might get a shock) the spark, then you are not getting spark. Check coil and Distributer
Those are the most likely causes, and they have been addressed in previous posts.
I’m not trying to be mean, oh wait yes, yes I am. This is fairly common sence stuff.
