GM’s straight 6 is a fucking BEEFY Motor. A shop down south built a turbo kit for it and on a totally stock motor it put down 515 RWHP.
Theyre New, so theyre gonna be a bit hard to find, but heres one on ebay
On a side note…
Standard in TrailBlazer LT models, the Vortec 4.2L I-6 engine generates 285 hp — unsurpassed in its class(1) — at 6000 rpm and 276 lb.-ft. of torque at 4600 rpm. :eek:
PS: the top ends on all of GM’s new RWD inline motor’s (2.9, 3.7 ,and 4.2) are all designed and built by Honda.
