3g is a measure of speed.
for cdma, 3g = evdo
for gsm, i think its HSDPA (gsm bois help me out here)
there are tons of 3g phones out from vzw.
if your bb is running slow, try to clean out some memory, or using a different browser.

will I be unhappy with a WinMo phone? I guess I should go to the store and tinker with it.
edit: I like that it has WiFi
edit 2: It is not on the vzw site anymore. Is it pulled from the line-up?
if its not discontinued yet, it will be shortly. some stores may still have it. there is a new version on its way out.
Well our VZW rep just called…and said they have i760s in stock again…they are getting me one by monday.
Its supposed to be in the process of going from WiMo 6.0 -> 6.1
I believe 3g for GSM is EDGE (caps)
GSM uses UTMS with HSDPA for their “3G”
EDGE is now considered 3G but for industry standards based on speed, HSDPA is what is used for the common “3G” as far as i know
How the fuck did this thread go south already?
I really just need help with finding a phone. What model is Samsung going to introduce?
i760 will be coming back out with WinMo 6.1
The other new phone is the i770
looks like a blackjack. Is that gonna have the full blown WinMo OS? or the smartphone OS that the Q9m runs?
I was under the impression that it had full blown winmo…
“GSM-bearing Samsung i770 qwerty smartphone running Windows Mobile Professional 6.1”
cool, that definitely interests me a lot.
That looks like a large phone.
Stop comparing it to your little penis…
looks long, but slim
like tossing a hotdog down a hallway
If you are going to get a WinMO phone, get one with the professional. I had the shitty version that the BJII had it trying to add stuff to it was tough. MOre support seems to be out there for the pro version.
you dont need a data plan for the motorola q. they might make u get one when purchase the phone, but you can call Verizon afterwards and change it to a Pay Per KB plan
VZW is dumping pay as you go data
hmm interesting. when are they enforcing this?

Sorry to say but ATT is looking better and better.
