i pay $30 a month for unlimited data. i use anywhere from 40-60mb per month, maybe more if it’s a busy month. i get unlimited data (internet, bb messenger, etc), and unlimited push email. or there’s an unlimited media net plan for $15 a month. both of these can also get unlimited texts for $10. so…how is verizon’s plan better?
- VzW’s data overage on non-PDA phones is only $1.99/MB. Compare that to Sprint and AT&T’s MB overage charges which are 5X+ that.
since the unlimited plans aren’t that expensive why would anyone be going over?
- How do you think it would make sense for Verizon to ditch a multi-billion dollar CDMA network that supports more calls per channel, which is more superior in performance to GSM, btw, to switch to an inferior GSM network? Especially after we just won the 700mhz auction and our Broadband service is going to be fast as hell.
because gsm is used internationally and cdma was dead technology as of 10 years ago in all the major player countries? it doesn’t really matter anyway, we’ll all be wCDMA or TDMA in the next 10 years anyway lol
- You think Verizon doesn’t have the “coolest” phones because you have/had Verizon. Every person I help out from another carrier always starts off by telling me how lame their current carriers phones are, and I know customers that leave Verizon do the same as well. It’s just part of human nature to want what you can’t have.
sorry, verizon phones do suck. they get the “cool” phones at least a year behind everyone else. at&t was on their second versions of the pearl and curve before vzw got their first. i was on vzw for a long time and left because of crappy phones. i was tired of having boring aawful stuff when everyone else got new gadgets. plus the costs from verizon for any of their “good” phones is rediculous. the only phone that vzw is potentially getting that i might want is the bb thunder, but rumor is that it will have sim card capability, so i’ll just buy an unlocked one and put it on my at&t account. oh wow that’s another thing that vzw customers can’t do…
