I’m not saying fwd’s can’t drift but if you’re not going around obstacles and connecting turns, it’s not drifting. You can think whatever you want but that’s the plain and simple fact. Trying to call that drifting is like saying you race your car because you drive really fast in an open parking lot.
last night after I dropped my buddy off I was doing revers j turns in kohls and drifting around the light poles inches away after I got my car going forward again. If you want to set up a bunch of cones in a parking lot be my guest. we will see who can drift. Fuck, set up cars for all I care. 
Its better then saying.“hey,lets go sliding in around in a parking lot when we pull our e-brakes.”
Or you can say “Hey, lets go drift”

I had no problem with him using the word drift. I would have too, but when someone said it wasn’t drifting, he should have agreed. Instead he disagreed and argued that it in fact was when it’s not.
And btw, I only drift in lots where there’s curbs and such, I don’t have any fun just doing donuts. I may do a little sliding when I’m leaving the store but just a wide open lot does nothing for me. Of course this has a price if you fuck up and I’ve broken a lot of wheels, popped an uncountable amount of tires, been in ditches and even ripped a suspension point off my car but it only drives you to be better.

Plain and simple its not real drifting, but in terms alot of people call it that. I do prefer obsticales as well, but without a shit load of cones or something its hard to find some. I’ve had my share of curbs smacks and a broken and bent rim so I’m always super careful around curbs.

I hit a curb once and busted a wheel bearing and took a chunk out of the wheel. I don’t like to get to crazy around curbs because this is my DD. I’m not about to sacrifice my handling for auto-x. I’m just working with what I got now and having fun with it.
If somehow we could set up a parking lot with cones and set up an auto-x type event and have three catigoryes, fwd, rwd, and awd. It’s far fetched but it would be fun.
ya my friends said someone did that at kissing bridge once with cones. Idk where we’d get any or enough for that matter. Ha lets look for construction sites.:snky:
